When I arrived at the License to Drive house, the owner was outside. She allowed me to record some footage from the driveway. Sometimes I get caught up in the moment and forget to mention certain things. When I arrived to the BttF house, the next door neighbor politely asked me to not make noise or go on their property. I respected her request and remained on the sidewalk. She also gave me some copies of behind-the-scenes production photos that I will share in a Future video.

The 80's for me was by far the best decade for great "original" films, so many classics in all genres......now just superhero movies and crappy remakes....Hollywood have ran out of ideas now....but luckily for us you haven't nick....great video mate😁🍻🇬🇧👍
@NickP3 жыл бұрын
I couldn’t agree more! Thanks so much Paul, you’re the man!
@goatcheese4me3 жыл бұрын
I disagree. Hollywood has plenty of new ideas. The problem is no one goes and sees them. Look back (before Covid of course) and look through weekly top 10s. There's always about 2-4 titles that came out that never grossed a lot. They are new ideas, new stories, with decent to good Hollywood stars. No one goes to see them anymore because, now, for the average movie-goer it's a bigger gamble to spend $30-$50 going to the movies and no one wants to gamble on an unknown movie that isn't trending. What is familiar, what is known -- remakes, superheroes -- feels like a less of a gamble. Those movies make the money, and the studios ensure to have those in their slate of movies throughout the year, but they still gamble on the new ideas in case one hits a HR.
@NickP3 жыл бұрын
@@goatcheese4me Def a lot of truth to that… Studios now just want to bank on a sure thing. A lot of good and fresh ideas that are simply not getting put out for reasons you described. Back in the 80s things cost less. And it is not even with inflation. In other words, what costed 3 to 10 bucks back in the 80/90s does not match what you have to spend to do the same thing in today’s theater experience. 50 bucks or more, it’s crazy. That’s what is really ruining the industry more than anything.
@spookyencounters93923 жыл бұрын
@@goatcheese4me But wasn't a sure thing hit movie in the 80s just a movie thst starred a popular actor, such as Michael J Fox? If you wack a trailer on tv a few times a day for the movie and it has a cool, popular song on it and you see "See, Michael J Fox in...." people would show up. Didn't matter too much what the movie was about. I dunno, the 80s was just different, better. And they shot on film reels back then . The movies looked cooler, more epic because of that. Nowadays they look like they're shot on suped up IPhones . Gone is the film look. Gone is the feeling. But yeah, mostly the problem is just God damn CGI fest comic book movies every which way ya turn 😑 I wonder if anyone could ever create something of the same level as Back To the Fiture again.
@goatcheese4me3 жыл бұрын
@@spookyencounters9392 80s movies relied heavily on story/narrative while still highlighting the popular actor (like Michael J Fox). Most big budget movies now focus on CGI, which in my opinion diminishes the quality of the movie, even with a plethora of A-list actors. It may be flashy, but the story is often weak and filled with plot holes.

As a fun fact in most cases the scenes inside werent not filmed in there but in studio sets. Of course the real owners dont like damaging or burning their rooms, but in real its often not enough space inside for the people and filming equipment so the sets in studios are that big you cant do the rooms and stairs in the original house... Or, for example, you need a stair (maybe in Nightmare scene) when the actor runs away but sinks into the stair and stucks, its easier to build that in a studio than change the real stair in the real house for that scene and then bring the old stair back in there. Another example, i live in a house that was used in a german TV series in the 80s, they filmed outside, the parking lot, the entrance and in the stairway, but not in a real Appartment. That was done in a Studio in Berlin, 400 km away from here.

She took a pick of me on the wall with a pumpkin on my lap, that she provides every year for people who visit. Amazing LOL.
