Hunters Point is an interesting place. In a beautiful city, HP has some of the best views of downtown and east bay from the top of Ingalls. Also the flatlands of HP are drastically different from the hills, and the southern end of the neighborhood (Alice Griffiths) is a lot different than the northern parts (Kirkwood/Mendell). It's a diverse neighborhood in a diverse city and almost feels like city within the city. It won't take you long to find a problem if you're looking for it in HP, and besides the project and hood funkin, I've never felt unsafe in the area

Ill never forget someone did a drive by with paintball guns! I was in the project apartments out there on the hills kirkwood ave right across from the boys and girls club! Me and my homies used to set trash cans on fire & it was a little firefighter pole you can press the button anytime and they pulled up in a minute or 2! The Samoans and blacks, Mexicans, Asians was always around! But it was more blacks and somoans, Mexicans from what i remember. Plus we had the people that had stores in they apartments! 😂 If you know you know! This was 2005-6 when i was a youngin!

I just asked my mom where I lived it in the projects it was Kirkwood ave! I swear so many memories popped up when I googled over there! They closed the boys and girls club down I lived across the street from! But the bigger one still up and running. Wilie Mays! That's where they had the ps/2 and GameCubes! I grew up from the trenches! From Portland Oregon to San Francisco/hunters bay! Life is beautiful!
