I was born and raised in California. I was born in the 80's during it's golden era and it was most definitely beautiful but in the last decade it has gone through a state of disarray and it's policies have diminished the middle class significantly. Besides the homeless, we have many working homeless who can simply not afford the high rents there. I left two years ago and don't plan on coming back any time soon. It was the best decision that I've ever made. Besides, I was able to make way more progress in the East Coast in two years than I ever did in one decade in California.

Yes and Newsom is guilty of handing out that money to his buddies that run the non-profits who squander those funds on lavish living and bigger houses for THEMSELVES. Nothing was done fore the homeless. They are still living on the sidewalks. Behind the complex where I live there is a slough. This area is a homeless camp with old RV's and tents. The government let's them live there but it's public land. They even create their own trash dump which is a health issue. The city got a grant and built a 70 unit apartment building to house homeless people. Yet there are 4,000 homeless in this county. Where that 24 Billion went: It was given to non-profits who have a history of spending 94% of all funds on "administration costs". The state government has NO accountability for taxpayer funds, they squander the funds. This is akin to "robbing the bank" Government is the modern day Billy the Kid! They rob the homeowners, then have a big poker game and buy up all the whisky and party on till those funds are all gone! Citizens have become complacent!
