Never will I forget my first encounter with one in the California Botanic Garden. It was last year in April and I’ve spotted a male doing his “Chicago” call. I stood very still and as quiet as I could while I was looking through my binoculars. Hearing the real song than listening to an audio recording from my book “The Backyard Birdsong Guide” is one of the best experience I’ve ever had.

This was great, thanks, I've been looking for "beginners guide to raising quail" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Have you ever come across - Eeyila Rudimentary Expediency - (just google it ) ? It is an awesome one off product for discovering how to raise healthy and fertile quail without the normal expense. Ive heard some great things about it and my cousin got amazing results with it.

Meme Machine nice. I own 8 button and 9 California quail and 4 gambel quail. It is a beautiful bird but like you said previously it is used for meat and eggs just like chickens. People complain about eating quail but they eat chicken all the time and their eggs so it's basically the same thing just smaller size and more protein. Quails taste better than chicken.
