It's a crime that it's been taking this long

This will be like the San Luis Reservoir near Los Banos which was built in the 1960s. JFK came and did the groundbreaking for that in 1962.

It's stupid that it takes so long in this country to get any major infrastructure project done. Look how long the bullet train to nowhere is taking and how the price tag keeps going up dramatically.

Well maybe if conservatives wouldn't keep putting roadblocks in the way, we could actually fix things in this country.

It's pretty amazing that acting with urgency means years and years and years. Also all the water will be pumped uphill. How stupid is that?

Pumped hydro is very efficient (the magic of modern engineering). The Sites Reservoir will enable adding more solar and wind to the electric power grid. Despite being unintuitive, the Sites Reservoir will actually save the state a lot of money.
