We wasted eight years to finally decided that we are going to build a new home for the shuttle due to the lack of funding and people’s attention towards what really matters. Instead, we bury our heads in the sand onto the Kardashians and the disgruntled housewives next door. It is really sad, 2018, we think we are going to be opened at 2019, etc…..

LINJ638, I loathe the kardashians, ughh! I like your wording of "Funding peoples attention span", and So true are those words. I just watched a video or 2 on the salton sea and what a toxic waste site it is, that is sickening the pelicans that eat the fish in it, and do not understand why the space shuttle, the kardashians, or the housewives dont speak of the salton sea, the drought that is severe, or the fires, but act like they are what's important here. Alanis morrisette nailed it in the song "All I really want", with the lyrics: Do you think about your bills, your x, your dead- Lines, or when you think you're gonna die? Or do you long for the next distraction? 😐.

@@iclite3656 The space shuttle somewhat matters, but wtf is the point of space travel if we are going to end up killing each to death on other planets in the galaxy one day???

Russia has nearly the same space shuttle as the United states. Supposedly the United states copied Russia's model and made some improvements is all

You have this exactly backwards, plus the Russian shuttle only flew once before they ran out of money and it got put into eternal storage and then got destroyed when the building caved in on it.

@@alt8791 i read somewhere that we copied the Russians and made our little better

@@Unusual-GoogleMap-objects you read wrong. Shuttle flew in ‘82. Buran flew in ‘89.
