I have to drive this highway in two weeks. Are there any cliff parts going to SC and coming back down to San Jose?? I don’t see any but a lot of people tell me it’s scary.

No, there is no cliff on that route, but some portions are hilly/windy and the lanes can get pretty narrow, which is where the "scary part" may come from. Hope you enjoy this beautiful drive!
