California has been told time and time again that need to have an active land management program to stem wildfires. Have they done it? No. I feel sorry for people losing houses but this is on California state.

The decades of bad California environmental policy, Sierra Club's ‘NOT ONE TREE’ program, that let dead wood and underbrush to build up in forest is fueling these California wild fires; over one hundred and thirty million dead trees are in CA forests just waiting to catch fire. These bad policies also did not allow home owners to clear brush away from structures made it easy for the fire to engulf their homes. My parents had to spend nearly $20K in court costs because of that policy. The mismanagement of the public land in CA is going to get much worse before it get better.

I went to Mariposa Grove back in the 80's. The rangers gave us a tour and told us that the natural propagation of the Redwoods are, They need fire to pop open the Pine cones and send the seeds flying to have a chance for a New Seedling to sprout, and that Redwoods are naturally resistant to fire. There are also many other plants and vegetation scattered on the forest floor that will sustain fires🌲🌲🌲

I hope all people evacuated and I hope that the state sent in crews to use traculizers to rescue a lot of the wildlife here within the area. The area is known for a lot of wildlife that may not be able to escape. Including both protected species and dangerous predatory animals.
