UMBRELLA is turning into a heavy hitter of the boutique big boys. I have never watched Caligula but still ordered this enormous set. I missed out on the 1st release of Super Mario 4K set but ordered the 1 UP 2nd release.

Regarding your comment about the ads in the old magazines, I love seeing old commercials when I watch clips of old shows! It's one of my favorite things. Like the old "Let's All Go to the Lobby" song with the cartoon snacks at the movies. 🍿😊 My favorite old commercial is the fast talking Hot Wheels toy cars guy. 🏎️

Just saw on Diabolik listing that the Drafthouse edition was delayed to early November.

Gorgeous set! But I couldn't afford that one so opted for the cheaper set through Diabolik, which hasn't been shipped yet. Plus since they haven't got it yet, my F13 & Chronicles of Riddick are being held hostage since they were ordered at the same time. Looking forward to seeing this again. Have not watched since VHS and of course I wasn't old enough to watch but did anyways.

I ordered the same Caligula box direct from Umbrella. The vague tracking via Austraila Post claims it was delivered to me here in Michigan yesterday, but it definately never arrived to my door or mail box (I was at home looking out for it's arrival at the time). Was your order delevered by USPS, or was it via another courier? Thanks.

No damage from Umbrella? My Caligula boxset came with gouged/scratched front cover. Wrapped it in cellophane after the scratch across the whole front cover and shipped it to me

Sorry to hear that. I ordered the Caligula box set directly from Umbrella, including their $39 shipping fee (yow!) to me here in Michigan, USA. Australia Post tracking states it was delivered to me here yesterday, but it is nowhere in sight and I was at home watching out for it at the time it claims to have been delivered. The tracking info is vague and doesn't state the local carrier or how it was to be delivered. If you're in the USA did your's arrive via USPS? or by another courrier? I expect this is going to be a big hassle to clear up and get rectified.

Contact their customer service, they sent me the Hell House boxset with no lenticular cover. After sending the email with photos attached they apologized and shipped out a replacement boxset. It'll probably take a few days for them to reply. Hope this helps.

I love the Mario games and, even though it's nothing like them, I have a soft spot for the film. Never seen Caligula as I think it could warp my head. Lol.

I use to have the "Super Mario Bros Super Show" on VHS when I was a kid and I watched it constantly! 😅 It was a cartoon hosted by two real men dressed as M&L. 😊

Pretty hefty box sets. I did get the first release of the Super Mario Bros. release and this Caligula set looks similar with the extras having the script, and the massive hard cover book, with tons of extra bonus material on the discs. I pre-ordered the N.A. release of Caligula simply because it has the Ultimate and Theatrical cuts in 4K. I'd be curious on the quality of the blu-ray discs with the other cuts with the Umbrella release. The N.A. release has be delayed and I might cancel my order and order the Umbrella impressive box set.

Nice edition! The ultimate cut of Caligula is the Frankenstein´s monster of movie cuts, assembled from over 90 (!) hours; one would need maybe 50 uhd discs for 90 hours if somone would like to restore 90 hour movie...haha!, of different shots, animation and etc. and wasnt supervised by Tinto. U can read it on dvd compare site and I read before u said in this video. Always nice seeing Helen Mirren naked ;)

Super Mario Bro Trust the Fungus edition is the original set. It comes in a Purple slipcase, Larger, and is limited/numbered. Open copies selling for $270 and up

yeah I know, I hadnt really seen the 1Up set so when I saw it saw trust the fungus on the slip I was a little confused AND I was surprised because I thought the 1 up edition didnt have a hard back book in it...either way, I am happy with my set!!

Trust the Fungus has a Film Cell Stickers the outer box is purple instead of blue with different artwork and the big blue book is hardback instead of softcover apart from that they are exactly the same

I have the Drafthouse release being sold exclusively through Diabolik on pre-order. After the recent announcement I am a little disappointed I went that route. I will give it a chance. I have heard that the Umbrella set on the uncensored cut has audio issues but looking at all the extras and that packaging I am considering placing an order for it.

Caligula is such a slow moving film 😴. I can’t imagine sitting thru multiple cuts of the film.

I am so curious about this, never seen the film, fully aware of what it is about. But the scenes and set design are unlike any production I have ever seen. I would like to ask if you dont mind could you please do a follow up video on the "Ultimate Cut 4k transfer" with your expertise I feel like I could better justify this purchase, it is extremely outside my wheelhouse but I am a fan of cinema grand presentation like this and the actors. BTW love your channel long time follower first time commenting.

I got that boxset and two more about two weeks ago. Its crazy heavy and rigid. Not deen anything yet but it is a supercool set. Also got Winnie The Pooh: Blood And Honey 2 and a movie called Chain Reaction that seems fun! Ozzploitation. Cheers!
