The story behind the creation of this legendary Calimacil blade, Iris, the sword of Olgierd von Everec from Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt Expansion, Hearts of Stone.
We love partnering with other companies, and we strive for a balance between historical and fantasy weapons and gear, so the Witcher games produced by ‪@CDPRED‬ seemed like an obvious choice.
We've been making offical Witcher foam replicas for several years, but this latest addition is particularly elegant and unique: a saber blade!
The blade is a family heirloom of the von Everecs, but is named for Olgierd’s wife, Iris, who he loved desperately as a young man, and went to great lengths to marry: however, the cost was high, and once he had his beloved, he sadly lost the ability to feel love, his heart slowly turning to stone.

Good question, this blade could fit in any frog-style scabbard, that doesn't go to the full length of the blade.

I am looking for a new sword and this looks really cool. However, I am concerned about the raised bits on the handle. Are they going to hurt my hand? Is it making it awkward to weild? Any buyers that can give me a answer?

In my own opinion, the raised bits of the sword made it that much easier for me to hold onto it. It didn't feel awkward, it didn't feel out of place. Sure, you can feel it, but I don't feel it's a problem at all. I do use gloves most of the time, but even barehanded it's completely fine.
