The QM2 predecessor the QM in 1942 hit the navy ship Courisow the Mary with her sharp bow broke the navy ship in half and did some damage to the Mary’s bow she never slowed down as she kept on sailing carrying 16,000 troops. The Mary’s bow had 2 inch plating so does the QM2. Be hard to sink both Mary’s by colliding with the bow of a ship.

One scary thing people always miss, is that the ship is constantly bobbing up and down, which means its hard to tell if it actually has gotten lower until well.. the portholes are under water, and then the panic ensues for those down deck.

In this case, it would be near impossible for a collision like that to sink the QM2, it probably just have to use its lifeboats to save the other ship. Collisions like that just lead to the vessel that hit the other staying afloat with minor damage, as damage to the bow is not that vital. This type of collision happened to the Queen Mary as well during her service time.

True even a side sweeping on the ship wont sink her because shes up to ocean liner standards of water tight compartments and also her hull is thicker than a normal average cruise ship so penetration is going to be hard on a collition but yah since its a fictional video we dont need to go to deep on what really would happen if this did happen.

Additionally, if that damage would have sunk her, there's no way she would have sunk as quickly as shown. The Titanic had more damage and much poorer containment systems, and that took much longer to sink. With the speed of sinking shown, it's a miracle that many boats launched, and I can't imagine they would all be full, or even half full. Also, if this happened in the North Atlantic, cruise ships like the ones shown wouldn't be rescuing the survivors, since those operate mainly in shallow coastal waters (especially true for the Oasis Class ships).
