Call for Accountability in Gaza from both sides - UN Official at Security Council Briefing

Briefing by Rosemary DiCarlo, Under-Secretary-General for Political and Peacebuilding Affairs, on the situation in the Middle East, including the Palestinian question.
During a Security Council session on the situation in Gaza, Rosemary DiCarlo, Under-Secretary-General for Political and Peacebuilding Affairs, called for accountability on all sides, stating, “All perpetrators of violence - Israeli or Palestinian - must be held accountable.” DiCarlo stressed the importance of respecting the status quo in Jerusalem's Holy Sites, warning that the situation is moving further from a viable two-state solution.

So according to international law it is a crime for the palestinians to defend it's house, and it is legitimate for the israelies to "defend" the house they take from them at all cost. You UN do not have the right to legitimize what is happening to the palestinians. Nobody should or would just give away it's house to the next poor homeless man that happend to be there

Tell me, how was Oct 7 suppose to help the Palestinian people? How are the suicide bombings, random shooting and stabbings suppose to help Palestinians? That's what terrorism is. Now it's true that Israeli action cause alot of casualties... but they are directed, successfully, at their attackers, at Hamas resources and infrastructure. That's the difference between terrorism and military action.

Its sad that UN security council is in full swing when Israeli are killed, why? It's really far past time that the UN recognizes this kinds of calls don't change anything. UNRWA has been insufficiently handling their affairs and as a result been feeding the violence we see today. A better world starts with taking up responsibility for your own affairs.
