I have never had seen such pride in hurrem's eyes even when she supported bayezid when selim refused to scold his own mother like fatma wanted, what did fatma think, she thought that selim would just side with her against his own mother.

I think how hurrem and suleiman treated bayezid was wrong, Selim only got to his position because he was older than him. He knew that he could never compete with bayezid so that is why he did everything he could to provoke bayezid and he fell for it each time. Selim is a coward and a bully and he olny calmed down was bayezid was out of the way. @@akinjolehaleemat8892

@@akinjolehaleemat8892 Bayezid was hot headed, he quickly got angered and quickly cooled off just as Mihrimah put it. He could get angry but not hold if for long, for example like Mustafa’s death. He snapped at his mother and condemned her for it but then defended her against Fatma. No matter the ups and downs in their relationship, Bayezid would never go against his mother. To some extent he was the hot headed momma’s boy, had a special spot for Hurrem.

Because of status and rank. Nurbanu was Selim’s favorite but still a concubine and a slave. Hurrem was the Haseki Sultan and we have two princesses in the room and then we have Gulfem who just wonders around. But I guess Gulfem would sit and Nurbanu stand out of respect for Gulfem’s age. She’s an elderly woman who’s been in the palace for many years now, so they’d give her a seat over Nurbanu.

Gulfem is a two faced rat who was part of the sisters’ plots against Hurrem but Hurrem never begrudged her for it and always gave Gulfem an honorary place in the court, in her room and in the harem. Hurrem had the dignity, patience and class to do what no one else would in her place. Anyone would have been very harsh with Gulfem for the what she’s done but Hurrem always treated her with respect.
