Makes a change from his usual shtick..! ie. Ex public school boys in British Intelligence / Karla / Moles etc.etc....George Smiley ??? Surely the blandest most forgettable character in recent fiction..? For some reason the Great British middle classes took him to their hearts. Impeccable middle class credentials I suppose. ?? Despite Guinness 's one note portrayal...😳 ?
