Love it. One of my relatives was actually a flight engineer/top turret gunner on a B-24 and was based in Italy with the 764th Bomb Squadron, 461st bomb group of the 15th Air Force. They made raids as far as Germany itself and into German oil refineries in Hungary, Austria and Romania. They even did the Ploesti raids.

My late grandfather Edward Gordon, who was a top gunner on b-42 liberators once told me a story about how his Liberator, the pregnant pelican, had to make an emergency landing just outside his stationed base and before the under turret man could get out. the plane landed on its belly and crushed him to death. He told me about how the littlest man was always the undergunner because he was the only one able to fit inside. RIP Gramps

The World War 2 Call of Duty games were the best of the franchise. They capture the feel of what war is. I am sad to say the last campaign that was ever great in a CoD game was World at War. After that, they have gone downhill.

***** Is that a genuine question or sarcasm, because if it's a genuine question then the reason would most likely be that the player would spend half the time doing nothing, and to be fair, I think the game would get old quickly if all they were doing is running across open grounds from one trench to another. The biggest problem with World War 1 games is that to mimic the feel of World War 1, they too would have to be like World War 1, problem is, World War 1 was a very stationary war, with barely any actual movement, although to be fair, Verdun did a good job at imitating World War 1 and keeping the game entertaining.

Advital The Mighty How in any way could i have even been sarcastic? Please explain that to me, and you're wrong, World War 1 was not all static. That's just what people associate it as being. There were many parts that were more open battlefields such as the Gallipoli campaign in Egypt as well as the Eastern Front. Though i think the main reason there's never been a proper WW1 game is because of the lack of knowledge of the actual war itself, this is mainly because Americans (who make most of the war games and movies etc) Don't actually know much about WW1. While the United States did fight in the First World War, their role was greatly overshadowed by other countries that participated in the conflict, such as Britain, France and Germany. Would you say that could be the reason or not?

***** On the French/Germanic border, the war was very static, there was very little movement in frontlines [especially when compared to the early years of World War 2 in Europe] this means that gameplay, if done in a historical context would have to be very story driven in order for the player to not get bored. Historically speaking, as a soldier in World War 1, you'd spend most of your time in a reserve trench or behind the frontlines, obviously this would equate to some pretty boring gameplay. I'm not trying to say it's impossible or anything; just that to create a CoD game [or any franchise really] about World War 1, you'd need to make sure you had some very good tricks up your sleeve and bring something new to the table so the gamer doesn't get bored.

Advital The Mighty Well to be fair why would it need to be set in the trenches? The campaign missions and multiplayer maps would most likely be set when the soldiers charged into each other's trench, like the Battle of the Somme or the Spring Offensive.

for those of you who don't know this not the COD2 made by infinity ward, this game is a sequel to COD:finest hour which was a prequel to the first COD, big red one and finest hour are only available on the home consoles and they came BEFORE COD2, just thought that I'd point that out and it you use med kits in this game, there is no regenerating health
