These original call of duty's were great because not only did they have good scripts characters and story telling they actually taught you bits of history as well. Wish call of duty these days could hold a candle to the originals unfortunately it can't.

***** yeah, let's hope COD does bring back the old ww2 games.. Idk COD just isn't the same at all anymore with all this modern war. I want to see a new ww2 game.. There's still a lot to cover on ww2, like maybe make something with the 101st/82nd airborne, maybe more with the pacific theater.. Like Guadalcanal, and Peleliu. They could also cover a lot more about D-Day, I think that would be sweet. But yeah, in all honesty, I would rather play the old COD's than these new shitty futuristic/modern war games

One of the greatest games I've ever played. Made my early childhood. Also, I remember in the tutorial bit of the first mission, taking advantage of having infinite grenades at one point. I remember throwing smokes and frags everywhere and COMPLETELY blinding myself. So much nostalgia...

COD 2 & 3, had the best campaigns i've ever played, maybe not the best xbox live but most definetely the best campaign, you really felt like you were there and the soldiers were once real people :]

I'm not a big fan of the COD series (I don't think it's bad, like, well, 75% of the internet, just overproduced) but I think this game is underrated in the COD series ("COD" and "Underrated" in the same sentence usually sounds like "The new king of Saudi Arabia wants secularism and is gay)

I remember playing this game for the first time in the PS2 of my cousin. I couldn't get past the first level because I couldn't find the R3 button in my controller. So I couldn't melee the piece of wood to get the gun. LMAO

I must admit that opening, with Heer infantry in their early uniforms marching through Paris is kinda scary. Imagine facing that in real life from that perspective- these soldiers, who in their discipline do not care there is a stowaway on their way, neither do they care if they kill it under their feet.

i also noticed you don't like to melee a lot. lol i just stay behind the wall once i know where they are and pop out from behind the wall when they least expect it like a banzai charger and kill them in 1 hit. if i have to reload and i don't have time (i'm surrounded) i just go to each one and melee them all and usually end up killing them all

It has much more interesting use of the Wii-mote, I think they got distracted in the later games with the online and forgot about the awesome stuff you can do with the wii controls.

i played this game on ps3 when it first came out and back then they incorporated new features into the game to showcase the motion system of the ps3 controller I didn't think the game was nearly as good as world at war or modern warfare but it was kinda cool.
