When I close my eyes while listening to this, I imagine a patrol of allied soldiers getting ambushed by Germans. After falling back in an abandonned and ruined house, the allies get surrounded and engage a desperate fight to the death, like at Camerone. Then, when the few last allied soldiers are about to be overwhelmed, when they see their end close at hand, at 01:33, reinforcements are finally here.

Ah man, this song is so great for that part on that mission. When I first played it I was like HOLLY CRAP SO MANY FRIGGIN PEOPLE :O (dies)lol then I figured out you could get a machine gun XD Anyways, great song, thanks for posting!

This song is so perfect for fighting a horde of enemies and taking the last stand. Its almost as if their is no longer any hope. But everyone knows that failure is not an option. So the battle wages untill allied forces come to lend a hand. Then the soldiers get their deserved rest.

i have a question here...is the story in this call of duty game is real ? ps. i'm not american playing the game in that level...with that music and the brave soldiers struggling...............make me almost cried

It is based on real events, for instance the level The Mace is indeed based on Polish soldiers holding on to Mount Ormel, a hill in France. They suffered catastrophic losses but ultimately won.

The game as a whole is based on the ''Falaise Pocket''. A series of battle that concluded the overall Battle of Normandy which started in D-day. Canadian, British, French, Polish and American troops encircled two German armies and forced them to surrender or die. German losses were 4 times as big as Allied losses, and it was a resounding Allied strategic success.
