Fun fact: similar to MWII/III, COD Mobile has three types of AK's with different chamberings. There's an AK-47 (modeled from an AKM), the RUS-79u (a modified AKS-74u that is classifed as an SMG per usual COD fashion), and AK117 (a modified AK-102), all of which are ported from COD Online. It also have a bullpup modified AK called the BK57 (modeled from a K-Var AKU-94) which is also ported from CODOL as AKBP.

The STG-44 marked the birth of the assault rifle as a weapon class, the Kalashnikov defined the class in the Eastern half of the world, but I'd say the assault rifle in the Western world wasn't defined until the M-16. Most modern nations now use the AR-15 as the bog standard from which everything evolved from to where we are now.

Infinity Ward, for all their flaws, at least deserves some credit for giving us newer ak stuff to play with, first in ghosts with ak12, then in mw2-22 and mw3-23 with ak103 and 105, and ofc an actual ak47 in mw2019. Bo4 one looks the part of ak12 yet forgets to move the rear irons all the way back. It becomes irksome really quick to constantly see akm mislabeled as ak47(when said gun only ran for several years until they learned to do proper stamped steel receivers for them).

To be fair, current version of ak12 is a disguised 74M that somehow works way worse than the original, the russians are supposedly working on fixing those. In all honesty, they could've copied the galil in different chambering and get all the good stuff(rails, zero, apperture rear sight etc). Speaking of 103, i watched a video by kalashnikov(before they got booted off yt) where they fired 1000+ rounds from one before it broke(or ran out of full mags, forgot).

They weren't. Depends on where they recorded the sounds. Of those they picked spot-on, I'd say these - pkp(rate of fire could've been lowered in mp), as50, l118, mk14. Those terrible like mw3 ak are - deagle(mw2 was perhaps THE best prior to mw2019), acr(they put mw2's sound for third person for unknown reason), the rex revolver etc.

There is also a K762 blueprint called "Cursed" that removes the top cover entirely. If you wanna go to the nerdier details, the entire "AK-100" series (as it's refered by gun nerds like me) is a direct replacement to Kalashnikov's older soviet designs (AK-47, AKM, AKS-74U, AK-74), with lighter polymer furniture and with use of (somewhat) modern manufacturing techniques. Still, you see many soviet-era AK rifles in circulation, and even some 1893 Mosin Nagant bolt-action rifles, in the Ukraine War nonetheless, used by both sides on a relatively equal amount. That is, taking the NATO supplies out of the question for the Ukraine side.

What's kinda lame about how they did up the Aks is both strange and wrong particularly for the under barrel grenade launcher attachment, well for the mw remakes anyways. If you put the sleight of hand perk on for equipping and grenade launcher on non Russian weapons theyll reload just as fast as their's (the aks) whereas if you reload with or without sleight of hand for the aks with the under barrel attachments they reload absurdly fast

No it isn't. The AS-44 was designed and produced by Alexey Sudayev in 1943, and was a prototype that only underwent evaluation until 1946, when Sudayev died. Mikhail Kalashnikov didn't start work on the AK until 1946, and production didn't start until 1948.

Four types of AK's are ported from COD Online, which is a Chinese-only COD, and no one on the world has that game but of course, China (even then you won't find it anymore as its server has long been shut down in favor of CODM). So yes, you of all people should care.
