if you know war... they don't accept soldiers that desobey orders, it doesnt matter if you're from U.S, from Russia or anything, if you get brainwashed and recover your mind and still help the enemy even if its for a "good cause" you will have no honor anymore. The enemy will not become your friend in any circunstances. That's how it works. Liying was the best ending for your character.

I feel like this ending is better because when you think about it from when it started: Bell was shot by Arash but he was going to betray Perseus, Adler finds Bell saves her and then interrogated her and then broke her down and stripped her off her identity and gave her a new one to control and use her for information with Parks help and Hudson knew, when you discover your friendship for them was nothing but a lie, you'd want to get vengeance against them like anyone would. As Reznov once said " The Flag may be different, but the methods are always the same". Adler and Park did to Bell was exactly the same thing that happened with Mason in BO 1
