Yeah, it's interesting how The Defector track from Black Ops 1 could easily be remixed with Fight Parliament and Chernov's theme... ...although, looking back at this, I should've worked the musical transition a little bit better, cause it's too abrupt.

joshguy64 Agreed.. the mix is a bit overmodulated at parts as well but all-in-all it still sounds great. Also, may I ask how you got the guitar loops from Fight Parliament and the drums from Defector to match perfectly? I’ve been toying around with the tracks a bit myself and it’s turning out to be harder than I thought.

Hmm... if I'm not mistaken (I'm going by memory here, and this video was made on a previous computer 7 years ago that has long since died), I mixed them by starting "The Defector" drum line right before the loud clash at the beginning of "Fight Parliament" when the guitar riffs start. Sorry if I can't be more specific than that.

Sorry for the very late reply, but thanks! And yeah, despite all the awesome guitar and heavy riffs that the music of World at War and Black Ops 1 had, their soundtracks seem to have a spooky/horror undertone to them. My guess? It helps to capture the feeling of how horrible war really is.

joshguy64 Much of the music from Black Ops 1 and World at War are so good and enhance the feeling of playing those games even if you’d think an electric guitar is out of place for a ww2 and cold war era setting

@@euwardandretalanay2430 Black Ops 2 had a few missions that took place in the 1980s, but those were strictly contained to the years of 1986 and 1989. And in the first mission of 1986, Mason is rescuing Woods from Menendez during the Angolan Civil War, while the last 80s mission takes place during the Invasion of Panama where Woods gets shot in both knees by Menendez, Hudson gets killed by Menendez, and (depending on the player's choices) Mason is either killed or spared. The other thing is; Black Ops 2 gave some detail about what happened to Woods after he supposedly "died" when fighting Krachenkov during the Black Ops 1 mission where both he and Mason escape the Viet Cong in 1968... But; they never went into further/greater detail about Woods being a prisoner of war at the Hanoi Hilton, his escape from said prison camp, how he got rescued by the CIA, MACVSOG, whoever, and what he was doing from 1968 to 1986 when Black Ops 2's first 80s mission happens. So from the looks of things, Call of Duty Black Ops: Cold War, is supposedly going to address those issues and details that were left out or not expanded upon in Black Ops 2, and were thrown out like yesterday's trash in Black Ops 3 and 4 (ugh).
