The lag is intentional. After 32 days of play time I can prove it. If people report you for cheating enough it WILL happen. I’ve had HUNDREDS of messages and bots in game accuse me of cheating and I’m on ps5. Iridescent in ranked and it’s almost every day I get accused. Never once been banned or suspended for account review which blatantly proves I’m not hacking. Yet the devs still don’t give a shit and do it intentionally to probably suppress the amount of reporting or they’re just pieces of trash but I like the second one more. I have 1,000 up and down & the SECOND I join a party with my friends who are garbage, the lag LITERALLY instantly stops. Disgusting.

What’s weird is that on the campaign and on the old beta maps the game works perfectly. But on the new maps it lags. FOV didn’t really make a difference but I’ll try texture streaming.

@@TheTerminatorRJ So the issue apparently is just poor optimization. The reason the beta maps work fine for me is because I played the beta and my game already has them optimized. Just play every map a couple of times, explore around and the lag should slowly disappear after a few games.

Happening on Series X too. This isn't a graphical issue. This is a server side problem. Every 10 seconds everything will freeze for a second. Can't count the times I've been killed because of it.

naw dude, my issue is something above and beyond these solutions you've given me. I'm on PS5. It's not my internet, because I am hardwired with just about 1 gbps constantly (fiber optics with NOTHING ELSE connected to my AcenTek modem except my PS5). I have no issues playing any other fps like Battlefield or Halo right now, and my MWII IS CONSTANTLY STUTTERING AND LAGGING. I've turned off everything in graphics (texture streaming, lowest POV, fidelity CAS off, everything!!), I've uninstalled and reinstalled 3 times now (not really an issue bc of my fast internet connection), I've uninstalled every other game on my PS5 and deleted all my clips and videos JUST to see if it would help. I even left my PS5 unplugged from both the wall and PS5 itself for an entire 24 hours straight and NOTHING is helping. I'm literally at my wits end, and I'm about to lose it lol. Is there any other suggestion you have for me to fix my MWII? Also, the only downside I have is that I am playing on a television with only 60 frames per second. I know most people around the world are playing way ahead of me with 120 or 240 frames per second, but I should be able to at least play the game and shoot somebody without the game constantly freezing and stuttering all around me :(

For ps5 my solution that worked wasn’t because of Ping, it was packet loss 20% in game. Here’s how I fixed it. PS5 dashboard: Go to settings-> network->set up network->scroll over your internet you’re connected too->press options for advanced menu->select 5ghz under Wi-Fi frequency bands

It's weird because on the same console with BFV at a higher FOV AND better graphics, I dont get ANY lag and haven't had any spikes over 1100 hours. But it is Modern Waste of Money, so who knows.
