CALL OF DUTY! Modern Warfare Soldier Interview Military Odyssey 2014:
Great interview with these two guys! Modern warfare technology is so cool! Enjoy the video!:)
ENJOY! Please 'Like', Subscribe, and 'Share'! More videos on the way!
All footage taken on my Canon EOS 60D DSLR Camera (Canon Digital Camera). Also using Image Stabilization lenses (Macro Lens, and Telephoto Lens - just the original kit lenses that came with the camera, and a 50mm F 1.4 Lens). For my camera tripod I use a lightweight Manfrotto 055XPROB tripod, and for sound capturing I use a Rhode Directional Condenser Video Microphone (Rhode VideoMic) which I think does a great job! I hope to upgrade soon, but I thought the outcome so far is pretty good!
The Military Odyssey show is not just Battle Reenactments, there are vast displays of classic ex military vehicles, classic cars, living history encampments, vintage weapons sales (like swords, armour, rifles, pistols, sub machine guns, etc), military surplus supplies, ammunition, military uniforms, military accessories, and much more. You cold not see it all in a day even if you tried!:) Bring your spending money if you go...you never know you may have the urge to buy a tank:) But I hate to think what the insurance would be on a thing like that!:S
ENJOY the video!!! Please subscribe and 'Like' as I have more videos on the way!
(Footage taken at the Military Odyssey 2014 held at The Kent Show Ground, Detling, Near Maidstone, Kent.)

I remember wearing all that stuff in 06 through 08 in Iraq.Yes the shit really is heavy but you needed it big time.During the cold months from late November to early April it was good and cool unless i was running my ass off during foot patrols or into a firefight because of fear and sweat.Summer really sucked and you had to carry more water.May through October,August was the hottest because it got to 130F + degrees.First and foremost was plenty of water, ammo, batteries, food, and night vision devices, etc. The most popular video we watched always was Blackhawk Down because of the lessons there from Somalia that every Infantryman had to learn about modern urban combat especially Baghdad at that time where we can be cut off from supply and reinforcements that we may have to fight our way out.The US Army made a policy that every soldier or infantryman will have a CCO (Close Combat Optic) whether ACOG,Aimpoint,or Eotech will be on every rifle and zeroed for 300 meters. No rifle will be without this because battle sights are useless in real combat but used as a back up.Yet you have to zero them before you zero your CCO.It is a multitude of shit you have to remember.Once you get to Kuwait and do your short training once again before you get to Iraq or Afghanistan you finalize all your shit together. Its game on when you land on your FOB then another 2 weeks of "Left Seat,Right Seat Ride"with the unit you are going to replace.Once there its listen,do as they do,ask all the stupid questions because there is nothing stupid about anything other than being killed or wounded.Learn the routes, keep your head and eyes moving, stay alert.Staying alive means coming home alive. This brought back a lot of memories both good and bad.I keep the bad to remind me that i am still alive and one piece for now, life is fucked up.The good that my soldiers are good to go.Great video Bro!!!

Kind of weird to see a British guy doing a modern impression of the American Army. I mean 10 years ago modern. Still it was interesting to see.

Very cool . I served in the army's 3rd infantry division as an infantryman in 2003 . Very accurate most didn't where the knee pads ;)

Oh dear. Its call an SPR (squad/section personal radio) and you would in all probability use it for inter squad comms and "all" members of the squad would of carried one too. However, you have the capability to go back and forth between squad (Top depressor button) and platoon (bottom) depressor).

Good representation on US forces 03-06. If you could compare some kit from Royal Marine commandos and USMC Force recon

While yes, a lot of this gear is technically accurate as it was issued and supposed to be used, much of it was not used as you see here. Especially for the Army reenactor everything is much too busy, you would have a difficult time moving and you would quickly overheat. The extra kevlar pads only existed because congress demanded that the Pentagon develop better armor for soldiers. The problem however is that the armor became too heavy and was rarely used, if the extra kevlar was used it would be used mainly by people who won't be moving much like gunners. I'm not certain how things go for the Army, but in the Marines over use of patches, especially punisher logos is considered cringy.

No matter how “cringy” punisher logos are they never seem to go away no matter how much fun of them we make lol

DstepOsch mmhmmm wayyy too much extra crap on his kit he doesn’t need, i think he was trying to show off as much gear as he could at the expense of “realism” or how a soldier would actually go into combat

Each soldier set up there kit and equipment how they want it a and what is comfortable for them, the only think everyone has the same is where they keep their tourniquet and battle dressing(bandage)

But even if he was playing, why would you hate him? It is not like he is trying to say he was there and he doesn't really claim any benefits or favors. He's just into it as a hobby, he likes it.
