The wiimote is actually a pretty good aiming method. They just should have tied it to camera movement and given a button to turn off the aiming to reset to a natural position. More like a modern gyroscope ratcheting setup.

The Wii version of CoD4 and BO1 is how I first started with this franchise because I didn't have a 360 at the time. The motion controls are actually really fun once you get used to it and adjust your sensitivity and dead zones to suit you. Even when I finally got a 360, I double-dipped and also bought MW3 on the Wii and BO2 on the Wii U just to also play with the motion controls.

Yeah my uncle used to have it on the DS, I played it and for me it was pretty easy to get used to and fun. But we could never find any matches online I assume cause it’s discontinued, or just or DS individually wouldn’t connect to any Wi-Fi. Btw maybe it’s just me but Zombies on the DS felt scarier than any other zombies in CoD. Maybe cause of the eerie music that plays, there’s also a lack of any of the wacky zombies elements like pack-a-punch and the perks. Plus the setting always felt like Nacht Der Untoten, with fog covering the zombies approaching in the distance until they slowly get closer and closer.

Everyone knocks black ops on the Wii , especially those who had never used the nunchuk control system but I'll tell you , I played this constantly and had so many great times . The controls weren't bad at all . Like anything it's practice . Going back to a static controller was harder for me lol after the Wii . Best times online with lots of friends playing and chatting across the globe into the early hours . I was Jack O Neil to start with and then went to " BADBOYBLAZE" . I joined the Badgal/ Badboy clan . Great memories 🙂👍

It took me a while to find out how server lag was reflected on everyone, So you had to lead your shot if you wanted to hit. Which was janky but it worked magically once I figured it out. CoD4, WAW, BO1, and MW3 all got Wii releases, plus BO2 and Ghosts were on the Wii U as well. Once they realized the Wii U couldn't handle the advanced movement gameplay for AW, they stopped making them for Nintendo consoles and never went back. I think the Switch could at least handle CoD Mobile at this point. Would be a nice way to get more people playing that game.

i used to have black ops 1 on my wii back in either 2019 or 2018 i didn't play online i just played the campaign and zombies...but sadly i don't own a Wii anymore in 2024 but i sure wish i did...also watching this makes me want to play some multiplayer

Damn this video hits home with me who played BO1 Wii for 3+ years, then playing it for a bit after Wii U had Wii backwards compatibility

World at War on the wii was too good, it was such a glitch fest because they didn't patch or update but it holds a special place in my heart.
