I remember my mom tried to get us to share consoles my brother had an Xbox 360 and I had a Wii. She got one of these Call of Duty Wii ports for him but because he was more into the online scene, he never played them. That’s also how I played Resident Evil 4 on Wii when i was kid and got traumatized.

I refused to share my consoles with my sister, which in hindsight makes me think I was quite the little bastard as a child but it also made my parents buy my sister her own DS and Wii so it was a win win situation for me and my sister and just a lose situation for my parents. lol.

Oh yeah resident evil four is good. I have a game cube and they had some for games you, but I was there really a very highly collectible, but no Ari four and on we wasn’t too bad the one that was on GameCube the remake of the original one on game cube is very expensive and very good too but oh yeah it was. That’s how those games get you on the old hardware.

@@Tarquin23 The servers were broken and you needed a modded Wii to play online again, but the servers were fully shutdown on August 1st this year. With no announcement or warning from Nintendo.

While other versions are just superior in my opinion, the Wii ports of MW1, Black Ops and MW3 were VERY impressive. Even today I'm still shocked that those games were relatively untouched when bringing them over to Wii.

I like how Goldeneye and Perfect Dark controlled perfectly fine with one thumbstick, but any time a developer has tried to make a shooter without two thumbsticks since then, they act like they don't know what a video game is.

I haven't played a Call of Duty since the first Black Ops, whenever that was. My favorite shooter growing up was Battlefield Bad Company 2, where you had 16v16 matches with jets, helicopters, tanks, and mongooses all in a map with completely destructable buildings. It was glorious. Always bummed me out that they got rid of the destruction and just kind of turned into a Call of "look my penis is large" clone.

I finished modern warfare on the DS 3 times, to this day it's the only Call of Duty I've ever finished I remember really liking the mission that takes place on the ship for some reason

Random trivia, the reason for MW2 not being on the Wii was not because of “No Russian” it was actually because infinity ward could not make an equally cinematic game compared to the Xbox360 and PS3 counterparts

I don't understand why Blizzard/Activision hasn't released CoD Mobile on the Switch!? I always say this but Epic has gotten Fortnight running on Switch, & CoD Mobile is running on Phones only wtf? I would of been more then content to have a online only CoD aka CoD Mobile on Switch rather then what Microsoft is going to try and have a full-fledged CoD released on Switch with everything from the other console/PC simply because of past results with CoD on Nintendo consoles. Ive never been a fan of those tbh, theres to much cut, dumbed down, & gameplay with motion i never got into. But CoD Mobile, i play Touch, or mostly with my Elite 2 controller so why cant they port a Mobile game to the Switch? Come on, it runs Skyrim (i never would of thought that possible) Doom, Witcher, Fortnight, & many more titles that im sure are more difficult to port to Switch, so why cant & have they never ported CoD Mobile on it? Also why im complaining, ive also thought it should be possible to port PUBG Mobile on Switch also. Again look at Fortnight, it might not be 60fps, but over all ive played Fortnight on Switch only because there was no PUBG, or CoD Mobile. Ive just never been a fan of Fortnight... mostly cuz i cant build for crap, & every other Console Xbox One X, & PC people build mile high towers in seconds and ☠️ death. Every dam game on those systems is how it usually goes but dam it all, even the crazy ass Switch builders in Fortnight are nowhere near as bad PS, & Xbox & definitely not the master builders on PC. I got like 600+ maybe close to 700 idk and 90% of them are on Switch, plus ive actually won my first Switch Fortnight game and and every win but maybe 1 or 2 has been on Switch and ive won at lest a small 100 or so. But god dam it Microsoft just give me CoD Mobile on Switch dont try to do a full release of a main CoD game because if past has taught us anything its CoD Ports on Nintendo systems don't match the others versions and lets be honest they basically walk off a clif rather then come out anywhere near the same quality of the other versions. So plz 🙏 bring CoD Mobile on Switch before the Switch 2 release next year or whenever they plan on finally talking about it.

I had played DAYS worth of BLOPS multiplayer with the Pro controller at my cousins house. I had an Xbox 360 and all the current games at the time, but them Wii kids (most using the Wiimote) were just too easy. It was satisfying... That and my cousin used me to boost his account 😂

Vita had "Black Ops Declassified" which I believe was just a port of Black Ops 1. I think the PSP just had a single pre-Modern Warfare entry that Scott mentioned in the DS video.

The Wii U games were just the Xbox 360/PS3 versions, but without the DLC and with some updates not releasing. If you really want to do the useless out of bounds glitch on Standoff or use the snipers as they were before the infamous nerf, the Wii U is for you. The PSP had Roads to Victory, honestly feels like a sister game to COD 3, and the Vita has Black Ops: Declassified, which was pretty much an asset flip of Black Ops 1 with a few anachronistic Modern Warfare 3 weapons for whatever reason. It was made in 3 months, and that also happens to be the average review score. Go figure.

You can mod black ops for DS on a new 2DS XL to use the c-stick for dual analog, it controls the camera. You can even still play online with other people by changing your DNS settings.

Ahem... as someone who has played nearly every call of duty, I can say.. The control scheme. A person would STILL want to play these today and in the future, for that reason. I can play any number of FPS games on any platform, but NONE, control like the wii. Other than VR. When I tire of thumb-twiddling my pretend shooting abilities and actually want to physically feel like I am gaming with more of my body.

I played CoD exclusively on the Wii and Wii U. World at War looked incredible for the time, much better than offerings in the original Xbox. Modern Warfare was really a great port. Black Ops broke my Wii - as well as many other people’s - and sounded like a 3D printer whilst playing, and the best one overall was Modern Warfare 3. I still play Black Ops II which is shutting down in April ‘24 along with Ghosts. Ghosts wasn’t as popular but was still a fun game.

@@Tarquin23 The wii servers arent accessible anymore, the games used activisions game servers which used nintendo login servers required to access them, and as of august 1st the nintendo login servers shut down. The servers are up, but we can't even play them.

I played BO2 on Wii U before I got it for Series X and honestly it’s fine but the campaign is awful on Wii U. Same game as the other consoles but in moments on the campaign the Wii U massively struggles.

I can't speak for Americans but as a 44 year old Brit we didn't play Call of Duty in England because it was "trendy" we played it because it was an excellent first person shooter. We only started losing interest when it tried to go all Halo in later instalments and completely lost it's way.

@@joshoshea3194 Mario bros 1, usa(2) and 3 are some of the greatest games. There is simply no comparison between them and CoD. The only time mario bros felt like CoD was during the "new Super Mario" era. When they were basically releasing variations of the same damn game, exactly like CoD. And the mario fan were very pissed about that. Because it was nothing more than a marketing trend, even if all those "new" games are genuinely good games.
