Who was the idea behind this mode ? I mean it was developed by gray matter but I think this game mode was not their idea I don't know why but I feeling it could be from Activision or even from infinity ward since they were the creators of cod series

Great memories. Cod hasn't been great since 2006/07. I remember buying the very first Cod for my gaming pc back then and united offensive. The maps, mods and community were great.

In my opinion: Base Assault was the BEST MP Game Mod. Offensive & defensiv Gameplay. I played it soooo many years, inkl. EBAL (European Base Assault League). So great times! Thanks for upload this nostalgy :)

I recall working on a multiplayer map once, it was gonna be CTF/Base. Large map with multiple trenches over and underground, variable terrain, even new turrets were added and innovative concepts never seen before in other community maps. Unfortunately the Hard Drive and computer I had all of that in are broken beyond repair. I really worked my ass off with that map and learned a lot on the way, I was very passionate about it and it's quite sad that the end result was nothing. It was probably around 2017 when I did this, not that long ago.

my old group Austin Servers, used to play United Offensive for years. we had a retrieval (one life game) server. also i played on many servers, including Historians (is loveless still the owner/?), Happy Penguin, Texas Militia. oh , great times. one of the best games ever made, UO that is.

Brilliant gameplay, against players using similar weapons, without the horrendous paid-for-DLC. You played until you'd had enough for one session. No power-ups, no grind, just fun, those were the days.

Were you using a widescreen patch or is the video stretched? This game was excellent, loved using rifles. First 4 cod games were by far the best and this one is the most unique of those 4. A lot of people don’t realize that Cod 3 is basically UO with new maps and a few special equipments, just too bad it was so buggy and no PC port.

I used to enjoy nailing the Allies from across half the map with the 88 to the right of the German spawn area. IIRC I could hit one of the bunkers too. I could do it on my own but it worked even better when I was on teamspeak with someone on my team acting as a spotter.

Can anyone help me? I'm looking for gameplay of certain maps my buddy and I used to play. I'm sure it was UO... The server list menu played 'Let the bodies hit the floor'. I'm looking for custom maps gameplay. There was one I remember that was modelled to make you feel like a tiny person (over sized furniture etc) and there was another one that was a challenge map and you had to get from start to finish doing all different stunts such as grenade jumps. Any hints? Thanks

Oh man, this was my life growing up :P I used to get in a tank and sit perfectly still on the map 'Italy' - enemies would fire maybe once, I still wouldn't move and they would go right past. That's when I attacked them. My favourite type of gameplay!
