Call of Duty: Vanguard is Absolute Garbage

Dude your Gears series videos literally ALL hit the nail right on the head. As I have binged through the original trilogy and am on 5 now I just had to see what all the fuss was about before I committed myself to playing such subversive sequels to the original games. You speak for a lot of us when you say the new characters are generic whiny babies and the original cast being sidelined. In Gears 4 when Marcus was in the hive network, all I could do was laugh. There’s no way Gears 1-3 Marcus would act like such a damn baby.

I'd say the only new characters I like in gears are JD and Lizzie Carmine but JD only gets interesting in 5 (which he gets side lined while being treated like garbage) and Lizzie dies minutes after being introduced as a cool dude. Even though I don't hate the new gears games they are vastly inferior to the god like OG trilogy with 4 being the most bland/boring game ever and 5 being a mess of ideas

Another excellently put together video. Even before Vanguard got announced, I was worried, due to the rampant rumors of development hell. Once the first trailers and gameplay were dropped, it was exactly what I expected: A generic game that will butcher history and refuse to innovate the series. Then the open beta released and I of course downloaded it. Typically, I would spend the entire weekend binging a beta, but I couldn't even make it three hours before I uninstalled it, which is a first for me. The gameplay, PVP-wise, at least, was all the worst aspects of COD combined. It was a confusing chaotic mess. I'm really glad I didn't buy the game, seeing how the campaign fared. As a serious history buff, I was left baffled by the plot, characters, and weaponry. Credit where credit is due, the graphics are fantastic, and bring iconic battles to life beautifully. In addition, I heavily appreciate the inclusion of the Eastern Front and North African Theater, which are relatively untouched frontiers in WWII media. One thing games need to get right is that there's nothing wrong with including women in combat roles in a World War II setting. The problem is, they don't showcase the actual female heroes of the War. This game would be much more enjoyable if it followed a French, Czech, or Yugoslav resistance group. I could rant on for many more paragraphs about that subject matter, but you hit the nail on the head with every section of this video. Nice work, as always.

Well made video. I did enjoy playing the cod campaign but I get what you mean where it didn’t make sense and u got taken away from yeh main story. I miss the old school cods so much. They were so much better made. Merry Xmas dude!

The the main character was wel known for R wording the woman ( I think German ) they where station near, and he talked about marring them… just told a group of gamers they where the good guys

Sounds like the campaign is just a worse version of Gears Judgement, which had it's flaws but after watching your video on it I gave Gears J another try and kinda love it

Gears judgment story is brilliant in my opinion Sad thing about that game is is multiplayer Seeing the characters in red vs clones of them in blue was really weird And vanguards multiplayer is that but worse No red or blue differences Its technically a Afghan army simulator in vanguards multiplayer

@@Nolongerhereanymore Gears just may have some major multiplayer issues but you have to admit that overrun is a god tier mode. Also despite annoyance from the campaign it's a story I absolutely adore the idea of and I also find the arcade nature of it something I wish more games would do. Also haven't played the campaign for vanguard but the free weekend I tried of Vanguard's multiplayer it was one of the worst experiences I've had with multiplayer. Atleast in judgement I can tell who I'm supposed to shoot, also it had interesting ideas for multiplayer modes.
