To be clear, i was referring to the detail where the thicker part of the tree (center) would require more shots for a kill. I don't know jack about actual real life bullet penetration. Just impressed the devs bothered to make sure shooting the center and corner of the trees with FMJ would give you different but logical results :)

@@StriderNS2 Not true, I have an SKS that went through 3 consecutive tree trunks roughly the same size (trees were mostly dead trees)
@towjam374 жыл бұрын
@@johnstock3282 I clearly said "mostly dead" as in there were some green leaves, but parts of the tree were dead, which means there was definitely water in the trunk. ONE 7.62x39 round went through THREE trunks. Also, they're rated to penetrate bullet proof vests. GTFO bc you clearly have not shot as many different weapons through as many types of materials as I have. I've also shot a 22 magnum through 0.3 inch steel plate, so there's no basis to your claim that a high powered round can't go through a live hardwood tree.

Any cod vet knows that fmj doesn't mean higher weapon damage. It just basically allows you to wall bang people better and kill vehicles faster.

not really true. with modern warfare 2 it actually gives you more damage. so i dont know what you mean with "cod vet" but i am sure you aint one.

Everyone here: FMJ or no FMJ Me: Truly in awe of how advanced video games have gotten in retrospect to the first games I played on the Atari
@charlie7mason4 жыл бұрын
Right? The fact that the density of the material in a tree from its edges to its center, also has a different effect on penetrations, is mind-blowing level of complexity compared to what games used to be. I've always thought about that and often wondered how games aren't just crashing left and right due to the shear complexity involved.
@josiahsegovia044 жыл бұрын
Video games have truly evolved, while I have never experienced the birth of games or the atari, I can see how it is truly mind blowing how even in just 2-3 decades technology advances so much.

Would you be willing to test the Frangible - Disabling perk in Warzone? It's a neat perk that causes a mild visual stun-grenade-like visual effect on your target, and disables sprinting when being shot, but it's extremely overlooked by the community, and is impossible to test without a friend on the enemy team like this. :(
@michaelvincent64734 жыл бұрын
It's not that good.
@Logan_Gordon4 жыл бұрын
Already been done by ExclusiveAce, as well as all the perks 👍
@hobojoe97174 жыл бұрын
Yeahhhhh, I feel like it’s overlooked because it sucks, since you have to shoot someone in the legs for it to take affect. And ideally you’d never be shooting people in the legs. Only time it might be slightly useful is when hip firing a shotgun at someone running away from you.

even tho it doesn’t do a whole lotta damage. It would still scare them into moving out of cover and open up more shots.

My thoughts exacly. Peak, gets shot, hide, still gets shot, panic, trys to run. It's a good twist to get people. It would also cancel their healing/using shields

@bruhdabones4 жыл бұрын
was wer yeah, but as a replacement for FL or other actual attachments? Nah
@4231jerome4 жыл бұрын
Yeah that occurred to me aswell. You might be able to finish an enemy that’s low health through the tree, or just interrupt their healing which is useful too. Still quite situational of course. Maybe just worth getting FMJ for the sniper in your loadout if you happen to know that final circles are in a wooded area.
@JM-oh1yr4 жыл бұрын
not worth an attachment slot for that
@4231jerome4 жыл бұрын
JM nobody’s telling you to use it. We’re just speculating on what the benefits would be
@NathanielHD4 жыл бұрын
I use it on the sniper. I've gotten so many picks on people in those attics with a window on each side. Theres no cover up in those attics and you can just span through the wall. If you knock someone it's easy to thirst them through the wall too.
