Chernov's death always hit me the hardest. The only character in the Russian campaign that seemed to retain his humanity died a horrific and painful death, so close to seeing the end of the war. His death was one of the very few times in the game that Reznov seemed vulnerable and human. I miss when these games had character writing like this, that moment hit me really hard when I was younger

I only recently found out that the Japanese officer put his smoke out in Pyle's eye. I always thought as a kid playing that he put it out in his ear. Now I feel even sorrier for Pyle... 😢

As a kid, Sullivan and roebuck were 2 of the saddest deaths I experienced in waw. Never cared much for chernovs death, i always insulted him like reznov did. But when I went back as a teen, it was pretty sad.

@@AKGaming3 my great grandfather was in ww2 he told me the Russians were a bit stubborn but quick to take a bullet for somebody and were honorable. His best friend was a Russian. my great grandfather met him in 1945 they met each other at the elbe river and became lifelong friends. Before his passing he told me stories about the war and him. He said he was extraordinary honest and a family man. I wish I had talked more to my grandfather at a younger age before he passed he had such amazing stories about ww2
