Prior to 2008, I never would have imagined a World War II game's soundtrack using electric guitars, and I was pretty shocked at first, but I quickly came to LOVE it and think it's a brilliant choice. These guitars aren't for rockin' out to (well except the Red Army remix in the end credits, and that's just a cool bonus), they're angry, overwhelming and even pretty damn intense and scary. In other words, perfect for the seething, bloody hell on Earth that was World War II, especially the theaters presented in this game. The soundtrack is a pretty major part of why World at War is still my favorite COD game all these years later.
@maverickloggins54702 жыл бұрын
I also remember feeling a bit weird about metal music in a WWII game, but it also totally grew on me and now I can’t imagine World at War without it. They really knocked it out of the park with this game, surprisingly I think an equally excellent game to cod4 even tho it stayed with the somewhat traditional setting

The lend lease between US and Soviet Russia mainly supplied Russia with things like shermans, jeeps, firearms etc. I doubt that you would ever see marines using t-34s in the Pacific. (T-34s were probably used in the invasion of Manchuria since Russia and Japan broke their non-agression pact.)

Japanese tanks were relatively small and we're closer to light tanks so we can rule that out based on how it looks. Also, LVT(A) or LVT4s were converted Lvts with either M3 Stuart turrets or Specialty turrets of a bigger caliber. These amphibious tanks had a very different body than the one we see rolling up the beach here, more closely resembling a boat with tracks. The one in the image is certainly a T34.

It is a game from like 2004 2008? Thats what I expect. But if it was a new game then yeah thats fuckin garbage. Only newer games really add that realism into it. So i lower my expectations with old games unless its pure garbage.
