Random mistakes I pointed out - The M1 Garand's bolt can not be locked to the back The BAR is a open bolt not a closed bolt as portrayed The lens sight do not work like that on a BAR, there must be 2 just like a normal scope, and it isn't a red dot for obvious reasons and the military wouldn't paint reticle on pieces of glass and put them on the gun since this would be inaccurate because it wouldn't function how a red dot works by centering a laser to tell you if you are aiming straight. Also it can't be adjusted like most iron sights and scopes making it just a gimmic. Springfield with any top mounted scope does not except stripper clips, their is no known variants that have been modified to allow this Thompson and MP40 don't have a threaded barrel in real life and in the game, how are the suppressors attached? KAR98K with the "extended mag" is a trench version that actually uses a 20 round magazine not a 7 round magazine. Miscellaneous Pins misplaced on many guns The semi automatic shotgun appears to be a nonexistent gun, could not figure out after 76 minutes of research. Also many more mistakes

Because surveys show female players would really like to play as female avatars. 2 out of 10 CoD players are women and, judging from Steamcharts, there were 50k peak players, so roughly 10k can be assumed to be female. It makes Activision 💰 💰 so it got into the game.

Ok so: - An M1911 with a 10 round magazine is not that long! - They got lazy with the sounds. - There was a variant of Kar98 with a 7 round magazine, however they were nowhere a popular as the 5 round stripper clip one, Don't know why they used it over the more iconic one. - The reload for the bazooka is too fast even for a cod game. - Can't reload a Springfield that has a scope with a 5 round stripper clip, the bullets have to be loaded in individually as the clip won't fit because of the scope. - But there was a fully automatic C96 variant.

Just a few problems I've noticed with the guns- M1928 has the bolt/charging handle on the top of the gun, the bolt is on the side of the Thompson in this game, making it an M1A1. Stripper clips can't go into the Springfield that way. Not with a scope attached. It's impossible. And really? Kar98 with a magazine? Maybe sure it's possible but come on, how many soldiers ever used one with a detachable mag? It's honestly like Sledgehammer didn't even research the weapons. What an absolute joke.

afaik late in the war the Germans did use auxiliary troops of all kinds of races and creeds, though never in huge amounts. Certainly not enough to warrant inclusion in game, sorry. But given the preposterous disadvantage in manpower they faced against the Soviets and the US, they wouldn't turn their nose up to anybody.

If you really value realism that much in a game... then how about -you die in one hit -the gameplay is sitting in trenches and sometimes shooting -there's a chance of weapon failure -you remain at all times in position and cover your comrades, no solo playing -at start of every round you get a random factor of how much slower you run, reload, duck because of food shortages See the problem of gameplay enjoyment and realism

There were detachable "Trench-Mags" in Word War 1 with a 20 round capacity but the saw a very rare use. There is no evidence that "Trench-Mags" were ever used in World War 2. Beside of that: Why can he reload the M1903 with a Stripper Clip when there is a Scope attached? Normally you can only single load in that configuration. Why a Lewis Gun when the British used a BREN Gun in WW2? Why a C96 Schnellfeuer and not P08 and P38? Why a Winchester 1897 Shotgun with a 10 round capacity? And lastly why a MG15 that was barely used in WW1 and in WW2 only used on planes?

That's actually a "Nydar sight" which was indeed introduced in 1945 but wasn't used during World War 2. That kar 98k model was bugging me so much I broke out my own and compared it. Let's go through what they got wrong on that particular gun: - It's oddly proportioned, way too thin or way too tall, also the barrel is too short. - No sight hood. (I know that's optional, But a K98 doens't look like a K98 without it - The bolt is shaped wrong. It should be much closer to the gun and angled in a bit more. - That weird flair of wood near the back of the receiver shouldn't be there. - The ridge on the top of the breech shouldn't be there either. - WHY IS IT SO GODDAMN SHINY IT LOOKS LIKE PLASTIC - The upper handguard after the rear sight should taper to the barrel, not be flat. - 7 round "trench" mag. *sigh At least they got the safety in the right position this time.

Reflex sights were standard in combat/fighter aircraft during WWII and before. If you ever played a simulation game with WWII aircraft you've already noticed that by the cockpit view. But.... small weapons reflex sights were at prototype stage during the conflict, never heard of it being issued or used by regular troops, and even special ones like SAS or frogmen.

Faaairly certain the C-96 was loaded with stripper clips, and in addition, that ping when the Garand performs a partial reload is also off-putting since anybody who knows anything about how vibrations work will say that when you have objects in contact with one another, it will dampen any ringing. Hold a bell while it's going off and you'll see. Also, could the Auto 5 even take drum magazines? And another issue with the modeling is that despite the extended magazine, the 1911 only holds a whopping two more bullets than it does in reality. They better be showing some FG-42s soon, or StGs, or hell, any of the other dozens of interesting World War II weapons that never saw the light of video game day. Carcanos, Mausers, Volkespistoles, the Owens, I know it was rare, but Garand Ds, or dozens of things. Forgotten Weapons really opened my eyes about what sort of things were kicking around in this era. However, I will not look upon this game with historical realism. I don't appreciate censorship in this very important era of history. I will regard it as another Call of Duty shooter post CoD 3. That was the last game I think that I can call 'authentic'.
