I've been along for the ride since WaW, never has a game mode that began as an after thought that became it's own thing captured my attention for so many years. I'll never forget when Der Riese first came out how insane it was to upgrade weapons and making it past round 50 for the first time. It was one of my favorite times in my life, and def one of the most peak eras of gaming to this day.

So cool to see all the younger people finding these songs and getting into them. I remember the days when I'd go over to my friends house cause he had a 360 and we'd play Nacht all night, round after round, game after game. Treyarch really went all out, creating a whole-ass metal-core band just for what was a secondary gamemode at the time and having a damn soundtrack for each map. I remember when the original DLC for WaW came out and they'd have trailers just for the freakin zombies maps. Rest in Peace old zombies, gone but never forgotten :')

They give this common feeling, the feeling of you just peppering zombies left and right, either by camping, or Training, Just the hard rock pumps you up to destroy these undead bastards to pulp, and each tell a bit of the story in a way, for some it's like samantha herself singing these to you like in ascension or in Shangri-la, It just fits all the maps, and even in Blood of the dead, that's hell, not samanthas doing, it is just purgatory, filled with souls, which is why it's more sad, like the souls singing, honestly this entire soundtrack is 11/10 anyways.

I still remember one time when one of my friends started the song easter egg for Der rise we were all hype more then we should have been, pumping undead with rounds of machine gun ammo, throwing grenades' and watching bodys fly. There was one part i remember when three of us got down and only one left, we thought it was over cause we were at 54. Just when the song got to the high notes. The one mad lad who was lived came to save us throwing trip mines and firing his powered-up gun. blowing away so many undead while running around them. Once they were all dead he got us back up and like a group mowed down the rest.

I feel like Abracadavre is the song that has the most lore significance in it. Not the most references and questions cleared up, but I think it's the most important or The Gift, I think they are both dedicated to the same character (Samantha) but reflect the differences in her portrayal between those times. Shockwave is sooo good, I think they purposely made it feel like a BO1 song (because the map is a Five remake) Drowning is amazing too, I'm impressed with the BO4 launch songs. Didn't think I'd come to like them this much compared to the era before (okay I think I just really like the BO4 songs lol)

Only people who hate blood of the dead are the people who jump on the "nee cod sucks" bandwagon. Blood of the dead is a great map some aspects of it are better than mob of the dead. The song is not only the best remix, but it's also one of the best easter egg songs and is better than the original in my opinion.
