We begin the first chapter of the sefer Eim Habonim Semecha, which addresses the issue that the author faced as he suffered the tribulations of the plight of Jewry during the Holocaust - why does it seem that Moshiach must come with such great suffering? Can Moshiach come without suffering? Is great difficulty a sign of the imminent arrival of the age of Moshiach?

I have also read that moshiach coming on a donkey means "his arrival comes after materialism. Meaning, after the world becomes so materialistic. Then moshiach will come. Have you read this?

I had birth pangs 4 days prior to my sons birth. They were true labor per hospital but I was not proceeding. They sent me home. And 4 days later I went from zero to 13 cm in 4 hours. I wonder how Braxton hicks (false labor) verse my experience - which one the prophets meant?
