This is the Church of God In Christ at its best. I miss the days of the Holy Convocation being like this. Carol Thomas wore this song out during this recording! the shouting at the end is how I remember back in the day. This shouting music they play in todays church, is waaaaaay toooooo fast and people don't even clap anymore. I love the the ole sound of the tambourines, hand clapping foot stopping shout services. Twinkie has the B3 Hammond rev'd up and those leslie's!!! t

Min. Alonzo Daye -Amen Min-I don't understand it- if the musicians see the audience can't keep up they really should slow down. Mama/Dr. Clark would not let us get carried away with the beat. She told us "In a large crowd like this don't take it that fast!" She said we had to include the old & young-make sure everybody can shout to it. What a jewel growing up under this anointed woman not to mention Twinkie! And when Evan. Carol Thomas & Linda Pawlovich (2 blind anointed sisters-one white one black) would sing in those midnight musicals-precious memories. Girl from Cleveland wrote Call on The one-can't remember her name.

I remember singing this with Carol Thomas who, by the way, didn't have sight. When she started feeling the anointing, she would rock back and forth and shake her hand like it was dripping wet. She would then sing like a raving lunatic. I miss her so badly.

Yep that's Carol alright. That voice is unmistakeable! LOL This song was originally recorded on the UNAC album from 1978 also with Carol on the lead.

My God! I remember those days as a youngster just getting saved. It was this type of anointing that drew me to God. Good ole foot stomping, hand clapping 👏 , loud rumble for Jesus. Sometimes Dr Mattie Clark would say “you don’t have to wait until you come to the alter later, you can get saved now. You can get filled with the Holy Ghost now while the spirit of God is moving!”
