To be honest, I wasn't going to call Mac out...until he started blaming everything on Gabe and shifting blame entirely. Did not like that. Therefore, chose to call him out and never looked back!
@PlayingWithHeart2 жыл бұрын
Ya.. that's the sketch ball part for sure... just trying to hide his issues. If he was transparent and owned up to it, and admitted he had a problem with anger and jealousy, it would be so much easier to help him out here. I mean, this is real though. It's how it would likely go down, but still.
@gusfluffy Жыл бұрын
Right, when he started blaming gabe and lying like that I sooo wanted to call his bs but I didn’t I was like imma not get in the middle of this relationship, honestly that’s their issue and if that girl can’t see he’s a jerk well, beats me. If she ever wants to ask me personally I’ll gladly tell her the truth but as far as no one asks me I’ll just let it be that’s what I thought so I avoided further trouble, just thought it wasn’t really all that necessary to defend my brother right then and there

Yeah, totally this! I was like "im new in town, best not involve in the local drama, already made a bad impression by going to town on Mac so best keep a low profil- ...say WHAT?" 😤

Mac calling Riley his girlfriend even when they are broken up, and the card that says he "trusts her around other guys - I honestly just took that as an example of Mac's possessiveness, rather than a game error. It makes him even more of a creep. They're broken up, and he's not willing to accept it.
@PlayingWithHeart2 жыл бұрын
Ya, I think that's a great point for the Card. It definitely seems like that's the case.. it still seems a bit clunky, but makes sense!

It's interesting how these choices impact the game. Though, I can't help but feel like... the whole relationship issue could have been avoided if Riley told Mac about Gabe helping her out with her college stuff... I chose to call out Mac because I found Riley's and Mac's relationship kinda toxic.
@PlayingWithHeart2 жыл бұрын
Yes, I agree. However in a toxic relationship Riley was probably used to him exploding about things like took her away from him. It's interesting though that they didn't make her character show that a bit more though if that was the case.

Riley with Mac sitting at the black lantern would be sweet, which means keeping long distance relationship between them even if Alex didn't spare Eleanora from the pain. He is a dork but he still deserves Riley in my opinion. And also I appreciate your attention to details about figuring out individual outcome.

Damn, maybe avoiding trouble was a good choice after all I like seeing Riley and Mac happy together Should've picked that on my playthrough

It's seriously such a conflict for me!! It's so nice to see how happy she is.. but I want them to at least take some time apart to mature a bit first... sigh... the choices!?! 🤣

No one should feel bad for Mac. He shows aggressive, manipulative, paranoid, and controlling traits. Riley's sweet and docile now, but once she decides not to be, abuse from him is sure to come.
@PlayingWithHeart2 жыл бұрын
Totally agree that Riley needs to stand up for herself and I definitely think they need to break up. Mac can work on his anger. Riley can work on her (what seems like) difficult family past. Everyone deserves redemption, but hellllll no should anyone be with such an unpredictably violent person
@Longpainowns Жыл бұрын
Still seems up for debate. he is very anxious , controlling ,quite paranoid and should get help, that is why I feel bad for him. he is so insecure and scared to lose Riley that he is living in almost constant fear that he will leave her for somebody else. I am also an anxious person myself, so I can tell from experience that living in fear and worries is something that can lead to depression , self harm so I kinda feel bad for the guy

When I started the game I was worried that Mac is abusive prick, because of how quick he choose to physically assault Gabe. But even if he’s jealous asshole, he actually cares about Riley. I’m glad they are together in my ending of the game. I think Mac can work on his issues because he admits that he have them. He know he’s a piece of shit and that Riley is really precious and important for him.

Hi, i would love to see a video about consequences of side choices in the main story like "nerdy/different" with Ryan at the record shop or "hug/handshake" with gabe at the bridge of flowers, i always wondered if those matter!
@PlayingWithHeart2 жыл бұрын
Oohh.. I tell you. So would I 🤣 Some of the choices I already understand, but some of them I haven't been able to get a clear answer on. Those are all very interconnected so it's complicated to figure out completely. It haunts me. Know that I'm working on it, and if you ever have any ideas or clues - please let me know! It might be the thing that breaks the case 🥰

I spent my entire Saturday playing this game and I decided to avoid it, even tho I was shocked he started to shift blame I was like I don’t think he’s a bad guy and it turned out he wasn’t in the end I’m glad he pretty much did change and I also avoided because might’ve been useful later in the game if I were to not get involved
@PhilospherDjPsychologist242 жыл бұрын
to be honest, I think that Alex actually fell for Riley, that's why the last picture in the credits are the two of them together, either way she is with some one at the end because she thinks it will make her closer to Gabe. Steph and Ryan were some of the people that knew him the best before he died so Alex would feel closer to Gabe by being with some one who him well, but the problem with those two is that they knew Gabe as a best friend. Alex felt like she missed out on Gabe as a brother (that's actually the first things Gabe says/thinks in the game), and Riley said that she saw Gabe as a big brother. By being with Riley she feels closer to the version of her brother she wishes she had known, and it would make a LIS 2 parallel, in the separate ways ending the last time we see Sean is in a Polaroid with a potential lover

@Tatjana_L.4 ай бұрын
Hello :) Wow, this was a super cool choice/consequence effect! It even swayed my opinion a bit :) Because on my first playthrough, I (obviously?) called out Mac’s bullshit, since he seemed like a horrible boyfriend, -and I wanted to romance Riley instead- but now, I’m not so sure. I mean, I _am_ sure that he acted horribly around her, and that his lies (particularly, blaming the fight on Gabe) shouldn’t be part of any relationship. But I also believe that everyone deserves a second chance, and that Mac’s concerns are surprisingly solid when observing the facts. It’s also sweet how he can actually help Riley out, and that they can stay together in the end :) But on the other hand, the problems in their relationship are definitely bigger than a few disagreements, and it’s probably better if they both move on and find someone else that fits them better. -Maybe in a future game that makes Riley a love interest- So overall, I still prefer to call out Mac, but now I can also see the value in keeping them together :) Edit: Format

Even if someone will hate this I think Mac is so underrated, he just has trust issues and jealous too... And as a boyfriend he's so caring. So Riley must find out about her grandma conditions to stay till the end with Mac, right?
@PlayingWithHeart2 жыл бұрын
Oh I don't think you're alone! People are complex and there are no absolutes. I wish he had a bit more character development to see that.. we got a taste, but not as much as Nathan in 1. YES! But which end are you talking about? Gabe's prediction or the actual Seek Adventure ending? If you Avoid > Spare, then they will stay together and you will see them both in the "Adventure" ending when Alex walks to the bus. If you Avoid > Tell, they both won't be there even if they are still together.
@gamergirlinside2 жыл бұрын
@@PlayingWithHeart I choose to stay at Haven so I helped Mac etc and after I helped the grandma keep her secret but Riley ended up with another boy and I was confused. So I must don’t tell anything about Gabe’s wake to the granny so Riley will know it faster right? Or tell it to Tiley at the bust station
@PlayingWithHeart2 жыл бұрын
Got it! Ok, so you definitely have to Spare Eleanor to keep them together. I'll do a full video on all of the variations at some point but my interpretation is that whether Mac & Riley are still together or not, if he doesn't have the opportunity to show her that he can be selfless by helping so much with Eleanor in CP3, they don't end up together in the end. Either she goes to school and they grow apart and she meets someone new (my interpretation) or she stays in town but they eventually break up after he continued jealous and didn't show selflessness in CP3 (before she knew about Eleanor).

I chose avoid further trouble since I thought if they are not meant to be together it will eventually play out that way. 👍 ... Its just too bad he's so insecure and jealous of other men with her... that's just something he needs to grow from; I'm not going to punish him for that.

I think the dialogue in Gabe's call changes as well whether u choose to call out Mac or not. If u call him out he's very annoyed at Gabe for calling but if u keep his secret he's a lot less bothered. idk the exact change in dialogue but there is a difference.
