Highly lyrical. A master workshop on tasteful soloing. He never loses sight of the melody. Its often tricky for many beginners to figure out what exactly fits with what. This a textbook, that needs to be studied repeatedly unless one is highly gifted.

Thank you for posting this video. I do call and response exercises with my students all the time but I have no one to lead me in a similar exercise. This was so much fun thank you. And it’s been really interesting to see new students over the years be able to do longer and longer call and response patterns. Similar to vocal warm-ups for singers, I think these basic djembe drills to help strengthen listening and technique skills is vital!
