Still using and loving my old Adams 19 and 23 degree hybrids. Not about to change at the moment but that looks like a beautiful club. Keep up the good work.

Love the look of this and the numbers are obviously great, but I find my F7 rails too comforting on my hybrid/3 wood. Even though I'm 90% sure it's all in the mind, just the thought that I can dig in and get a great result still just fills me with confidence out of bad lies and that's what I feel I need right now.

Hi James, love you're reviews and your a really honest bloke, I'm 50 now and been brought out of retirement by my son . I'm just started hitting my irons sweet , however my 3 and 4 iron (witch I could nail 20 yrs ago) need replacing with something much more forgiving . Please help 👍👍👍

A thank you note of sorts: I had a gapping session this week the main purpose was to sort out my new combo set of AP3/AP2 irons. Once we finished with that I mentioned I wasnt happy with my hybrid so we took a look at it together. I was hitting my Titleist 818 H with a draw every time. I couldn’t fade it! My misses were hooking way too much with it. He told me the H1 was designed with a slightly closed face and a slight draw bias, and a lot of help with launch as well......which IS SO NOT what I need right now! In any case, even when adjusting it in every conceivable way to make it more neutral for me it just didn’t feel right. It just felt weird on oddly balanced in the settings it required to straighten out my hall flight. That’s when I remembered this review and asked him about the Callaway Apex! Unfortunately, they either didn’t have it yet or just didn’t have a lefty version 😡. Not sure. But, it occurred to us that the Titleist 818 H2 is a very, similar club so we decided to try it. All I can say is BOOM! I striped that club from the first swing! My ball flight was instantly neutral and flatter and I could shape shots with it much more easily. Best of all the hook was gone, gone, gone! I have to say they H2 had a much more pleasing look, sound and feel as well. James, I have a new best friend in the bag now! I love this club! So, although I didn’t get the Apex hybrid, this review definitely pointed me in the right direction! So, thank you! PS: I still intend to try the Apex Hybrid if they ever get a lefty version in the shop. 😀

for some reason I can't use hybrids, I get the lefts with them badly and that bad boy looks like a special for a snap hook, 5-wood all day long for me....keep up the good work JR, cheers

As soon as you took the headcover off, the club head screamed ADAMS! It looked like a work of Art! Such a tragedy that Taylor Made acquired Adams Golf and corrupted all their brilliant designs! But the good news is that Mr Adams is back in Golf and running a company called Breakthrough Golf Technology and the REALLY good news is that their Stability Putter Shaft is pure Genius!!!! If you get an opportunity I would love to see you review one?

Agreed on the headcover James! Callaway headcovers are all very nice looking for the most, but the recent ones, especially woods, are too short! Disappointed in this year's graphics... someone felt too compelled to scream the name of the clubs all over the place! Really takes away from that nice shape and glossy finish.

More of a Ping Hybrid kinda guy. The Apex looks like it can go head to head with the TM Gapper hybrid version. Maybe a vlog? One thing i never understood with Callaway hybrids was why the toe is or looks so much taller than the middle of the face or the heel. Is it just the way it looks but it never suited my eye
@richardsdiaz16 жыл бұрын
Great video as always! I'm a Titleist Hybrid fan. This Callaway Apex reminds me a lot of the 818H2! I see alot of similarities there. You're actually thinking of taking the GAPR out of the bag? I was under the impression that you liked it and it's SOCK headcover? I'm going to have to take a look at this one some time. I've been fiddling with the top of my bag a lot this year. This could be a contender.

I hate Taylor Made and will NEVER buy one of their products because they bought out Adams and spit the company out just for Adams slot technology as Adams made THE BEST HYBRIDS out there !!!!!!
