Great info guys, I'm thinking of getting Callaway Apex 19 with custom KBS C Taper Lite S 110g Hard Stepped
@foregolfcustom4 жыл бұрын
Hey Ryan good call. Although probably no need to hard step the C Tapers in stiff flex. Won’t make enough of a difference. If you need more stability just go to X. 👍🏻👍🏻💪🏻💪🏻

Great irons but make sure you get fitted! You are not going to buy shoes off the rack or online without trying them on to know the fit to your particular feet. I went to Roger Dunn to purchase Ping G425, G710 or the Callaway Apex DCB iron set. After hitting the 7 irons from each set, i went home with these Callaway Forged Apex iron set with regular steel shafts! I was 15 yards longer and straighter compared to my previous Ping G30 and the others I just mentioned.

I forgot to mention they feel like butter!

Hi, Thanks for the review, will you please extend your last explanation between apex 19 and rogue ? Thanks in advance

I have ordered these clubs with the Nippon Zelos 7 R2 flex steel shafts to help me with a higher ball flight due to my modest swing speed. You thoughts if I made a sound decision.

Great decision. 👍🏻

Looking at getting a set of these. Shoot in low to mid 80. In between r and s shaft. What shaft would you recommend? Thanks

When in doubt go Reg for more feel and higher flight. Stiff is more solid with lower flight. 👍🏻

Glad to see this review only because I was for a while focusing on these clubs. Pity I could not be fitted by you guys being a leftie. Anyway after trying both the catalyst and recoil shafts and given how bulky the cf 19 is and the price decided to veer away from these. Having tested a range of clubs from i500, p760 and p790, jpx’s (though not the hot metal pro), and more I have ended up now going for a fitting for the srixon z785 perhaps 1 degree stronger in lofts.

Great information, thanks. Which sub 100 gram shaft do you pair with Apex? Would Nippon 850 or 950 work well?
@foregolfcustom4 жыл бұрын
Yea 950 in Nippon works great. Soft feel heads with soft feel shafts is 😘

Do you think a 14 hc would be ok with apex 19
@foregolfcustom4 жыл бұрын
Yea should be fine. They are not a complicated iron to hit with good low CG so will be a good club to generate feel of the shot so you can learn about better strikes but also allow you to play and have fun. Play well. 👍🏻

Hi, guys, I've just subscribed. What are your thoughts on the True temper elevate and elevate your shafts?
@foregolfcustom5 жыл бұрын
Thanks for subscribing!! Not a lot of experience with the Elevate shaft as we normally use C Taper or C Taper Lite if we want a low flighted, low spin shaft. We also like PXi for that kind of profile. If you need a mid weight low spin shaft the elevate might be worth looking at but be careful that the head you choose isn’t a strong lofted setup too...👍🏻🏌🏻♂️

Hmmmmm things just got interesting! They sound fast!
@cinnamonmon23295 жыл бұрын
It’s a bit misleading IMO to just say they’re “fast”. The distance in these irons is coming from the cranked lofts, 7 iron 30.5 degrees?!? My 7 iron is 35 and my 6 is 31! Also in the one graphic we saw the spin was 4782 which I know is extremely strike dependant but all things being equal that’s a traditional 5 iron spin so that’s where the distance is coming from. I think it should be pointed out too that the lower lofts will make these clubs harder to hit straight (d-plane).
@foregolfcustom5 жыл бұрын
Good points but the ball speed from the Face is a lot higher than we’ve seen from other forged faces/heads. D-plane and spin aside the ball speeds are still quicker than older model Apex and other forged heads. Thanks for your thoughts. 👍🏻

They launch as high or higher than your 35degree 7 iron and the shaft is same length.. technology is impressive but damn expensive!
