Andy-great video as always. Interested in these irons as I just bought a set of the 2015 XR pro irons (never hit, new 5-aw, $250.00 usd) and I am really impressed with them. I know they have strong lofts and offer big carries but I really like how nice the flights are, especially the 5 and 6 irons. As I getting to be a geezer ( bloody hell I am a geezer) I appreciate the higher launch. Do you think that the higher descent angles these clubs offer compensates for the lower spin rates in their ability to stop the ball on greens? Personally I find that the ball stops quite well but the grooves are new too. I just watched Michael Newton's video on these clubs and he was getting about 6400 rpm out of the seven iron, impressive given the loft. Not sure how the black finish on these irons will hold up, my experience with a set of Wilson Staff C100's was not good-they looked pretty worn quickly. Appreciate your thoughts on my question, good fun. Cheers.

I think that the higher launch will mean the ball is coming in softer and effectively stop sooner, although my spin was 4000 in yards in showed a stopping distance of 7 yds which is surely controllable. I would also take note of Michael Newtons video where his 'strike' will be far purer than mine resulting in a better spin.

I'm starting to watch more of your videos and I love the looks of the srixon z765 u bought but you need to understand looks are equally as important as results. if you don't like the looks your dead at the start. not only do you not show them, the Callaway steel head pro in closeup or down at address as everyone wants to see... you actually hold them covered with both hands for the first 2 minutes so that they are literally unable to be seen. yes you have a couple of the manufacturer shots but all clubs do but we all can't judge by digital pics we like in hand pictures. do good angles... several... of them and you'll greatly improve what viewers want. cheers.
