Callaway XR16 vs Callaway Epic - DRIVER CHALLENGE

A driver challenge where i put the Callaway XR16 driver up against the Epic - and see some interesting results..

I'm a HUGE Titleist guy and have been for many years. The EPIC has made me switch drivers. I LOVED my 915D2, but the EPIC replaced it. I am a firm believer in this club and many of the people I golf with that have hit my driver agree.

I'd argue the smash numbers were much lower with the XR16 swings.. I just purchased the Epic..tested it against XR16 ..the Epic was longer and faster off the face..BUT not by those drastic differences .

Thank you for the review. I game the XR16 in the speeder shaft and demoed against the Epic sub zero with the hzrdus yellow shaft; there is definitely something going on with the Epic. What's funny for me though is the distances were similar but I was getting an extra 5 mph on average with the Epic.

The XR Irons have an inherent Draw dais, and judging by the results of this demo, it would seem the Driver does as well. Can anyone confirm this?

The shafts being ever so slightly different make any difference? i'd think not but just asking.

I also would like to know . with todays technology , is there a significant difference between a standard shaft and , say , an Accra ?

driver swing average speed is 98-101 mph

I game the xr16 head set to 8. shafted with a matrix red tie x flex at 48 inches. Club speed of 108, ball speed at 160. Carry is 250 with a 25 yard runout. Not super long, but very controllable.
