The point of the video is to show bully's aren't bad, I was a bully for a while when I was really young and I never knew what I was doing, I was only trying to fit in and get everyone to like me and be cool, if you're being bullied, you shouldn't pay evil for evil, but evil with good, bake your bully cookies and love them, I'm now friends with 2 of my highschool bullies and it's great, life goes on

This guy didnt even really try to apologize. More than anything he just tried to shrug it off and say that is what it is and its just something guys have to do to others...... like wow. He sounds pathetic tbh. He also tried to make ridiculous excuses for why people bully. The reason is simple. Theyre insecure weak people and beating someone else down makes them feel better about themselves. Making someone else feel lower than them makes them feel better about their own ugly pathetic weak self.
@thomcole1875 жыл бұрын
@Copper Cab lmafao please. Stop being so fake. The way you specified every detail tells everyone you're trying to put those people on a wicked display while playing yourself as being some forgiving saint. Clearly you've been dwelling on these things for a very long time.

My Childhood Bully actually called me a few years ago and he said: "From the bottom of my heart: I´m sorry. I know that I made you feel terrible in those years and that I was really bad person. I know that now and I´m really sorry. I hope you can forgive me!". It was actually a pretty cool moment. We talked a bit and I can say now: We will never be friends but at least: If I would met him on the street: we would talk for a bit. And thats nice.

I'm sorry, but Am I the only one who is not happy with all this idea of "I bullied you horrible and made your life miserable for year, but we are adults now, so just let it go. The important thing is that I'm happy and you didn't end killing yourself, so be pleased with that". I'm always happy with they end up having a miserable life...sorry but it's true

+Nnn Nnn The fellow in question did seem to write off the importance of what happened as something that 'just is', something that simply exists and we all have to put up with it. But that's why Riyadh kept politely pushing isn't it? He started to feel bad by the end of the call, which means he started to question his role in the experience and to take some responsibility, so that's a start. The important thing is to recognise that life is not static, and we don't have to accept things as they are, or have been, and to question and to stand up to bullying or abuse of any kind. I think this phone call, and both persons' insights, helped to spread that message, so all for the good.

+katie People are so self-centered, especially at that age, they don't even realize most of the things going on around them. That's pretty universal. I'm 30 now, and it's only in my adulthood that I've looked back on my childhood and teenage years and started connecting a lot of dots. I mean, our lives are constantly rubbing up against other people's lives. There's no way you could ever know how much you affected other people -- things as simple as a look or a passing comment can stick with people for years. Some people are so lacking in empathy and introspection that they never realize that. They just tumble through life, lashing out chaotically, affecting people in ways that they'll never understand.
@tweeze1239 жыл бұрын
+katie Because they're kids with undeveloped brains. It is a learned behavior. I was a bully as a kid. For the longest time I didn't know why I was a bully. I remember one time telling a friend that I was a bully for no reason, I just found it fun. He didn't buy it, he said there has to be a reason, that I should think deeper. As I did, I found the reason why. I was bullied before I became one. I never classified it as "bullying" because I was jst a kid, I didn't even know what that was or why kids were doing what they were doing.
@xXPhantomKingXxOfficial9 жыл бұрын
Sometimes people dint realize they are bullies because say if they make a joke or something they would laugh WITH the bully so the bully would think that the victim was ok with it. Some cases they even ask if they are ok with them joking around and they say yes. The bully has no idea they are bullying
@maximneumann40799 жыл бұрын
I don't get it, am I the only one who think he does not give a shit about it?! The dude is actually denying the fact that he was bullying you, he's pretty much like: "it was not my purpose and it was secondary school, suck it up". "I don't think that could have gone better than it did". Yes, it could have gone WAY better than it did, he could have just said that yes, his mates and him were bullying you on purpose because you were gay, alone and quite defenseless, that yes, he has been an horrible person to you, and that yes, he was perfectly aware he was hurting you. Then , it would have been a real "sorry".

Where is the logic here? You're saying that teenagers who beat up other kids are not aware of affecting the poor kid being beaten up? Amazing... I've been bullied too and if there is something I can tell you it is that: they definitely knew what they were doing and how it made me feel.

+zack munez I think the best result is for Riyadh because he had to get over this situation and you can tell he is the more mature person in this video. Ownership of your actions. Riyadh says that he was being bullied for something that is so central to him and this guy knew it and seen where he could really make some damage. BUT I'm proud that Riyadh didn't take the easy road of 'you did this' and 'you said that' in an argumentative way, he address to his former bully and that his affect on Riyadh's life, made him feel shit. Riyadh I hope has done something for this generation and the next generation of school goers, you can't be cruel because in some way your actions can badly influence their lives. If he is genuinely sorry, the bully, I just hope he passes on this lesson that he was fortunate to receive.

+Noah Kunti +Riyadh K (and +shep689) - It is surprising just how much people change (and grow) over time. I like to believe that people gain perspective as they mature, and in doing so, come to see what it is they could have done differently, done better or never have done at all. Though confrontation is hard, Riyadh has allowed his experience to make him an even bigger person through being prepared to forgive (then doing just that, offering forgiveness). I feel you only do yourself a disservice by continuing to hold on to the pain because you allow yourself to continue being a victim. We all owe to it ourselves to let go of the past, otherwise you never truly move on at all. That feeling of afterward of being "full of light and almost euphoric" is the weight lifting from your shoulders and setting yourself free. I hope to have my own euphoric moment one day. Until then, I can feel inspired by Riyadh's positive experience and build the emotional strength necessary to ask my own tormentors... why? Meanwhile I choose not to live in the past, after all it does it better.

I found out who my childhood bully was and I single handedly broke up his marriage after 10 years in the slowest, most satisfying process ever without them ever knowing it was me. As they say whatever goes around comes around, and i couldve done more but i feel my justice has been served.🙏

Shemar Rodney that's the problem, you shouldn't be so dumb to think you're not effecting someone when you're HARASSING them. If they obviously aren't enjoying your teasing, JUST STOP. Saying sorry doesn't undo the years of harshness you've shown to people. And another thing that makes bullies the actual worst is that some of them do it to make other people laugh and to look badass. They're just losers with nothing better to do.

@PanGalacticGargoyleBlaster7 жыл бұрын
thats the perception that bullies hate who they bully but they dont hate, they just dont care. the evidence of this is in this very video. the victim is nothing to them, a tiny blip on their radar. most stories of meeting former tormentors are of the tormentor going "who are you? i dont actually remember you...". My dad met former tormentors at a school reunion 20 years after graduation. one of them remembered and apologised immediately. the rest had no clue who he was at all.

Riyadh K is an emotionally healthy and very courageous young man. My hat is off to him for confronting one of his childhood bullies. I must say that the bully is not being completely honest when he makes light of what he did and tries almost desperately to laugh it all off. His bullying was intentional whether he wants to confront that about himself or not. Riyadh may be able to rise above the hurt and forgive, for which I sincerely congratulate him. Certainly not all victims of bullying are not quite so fortunate.

I was bullied a lot in grade school and middle school. I was also a bully to at least one girl. She is my friend now, and I still hate myself for what I did to her. I still stay awake at night crying and wishing that I had never existed because I must have caused her so much pain. Those memories help fuel my suicidal ideation. On an intellectual level I do not resent the people who made my life hell. They were just kids, they didn't know how much it hurt. That said, a lot of the intrusive thoughts from my anxiety and depression stem partially from them. They did a lot of damage to me. I resent the thoughts, and by extension, I guess I kind of resent the bullies too. So I have been on both sides of the bullying perspective, and this video gives me second-hand anxiety. You are so incredibly brave, and I have no clue how you managed it. I wish I could be as strong as you are. Thank you for making this video.

I used to be bullied, and hated it. I hated those kids. And since my short-temperedness runs thru my family, let's just say after I got annoyed past my limit, things got violent and they never bothered me again. Just the occasional mistake of targeting me then saying sorry later on, and actually trying to help me sometimes. But I was immature then. Let's just say I bullied two boys. I pushed one down when he was standing on a bench in first grade, and a chaperone saw me. I gave an excuse, and hopefully she believed it. But I regretted that moment, I was actually relieved he didn't die. After that I don't remember much, but I think I didn't bother him later on. But a few school years later, I found him talking to a classmate. They were good friends. I steered away, because he might remember me. The second one, I actually tripped him in fifth/sixth grade. In the class. Full of students. He was my friend once, and being an impulsive person, I tripped him for fun. But for him, it wasn't. The teacher noticed it, since he fell so loud. The teacher questioned who it was, and he said it was me. I said it was an accident (it kinda was) but the teacher didn't even scold me or something. Usually she would with others though. I think I tried to say sorry playfully later on. And with his case, I saw his mom sometimes. She smiles at me whenever I see her, and I regretted doing those things. Because they transferred schools the next school year later. I regretted those things, and who knows, maybe they'll get their revenge later on? But now, unless someone pushes me past my limit of tolerance, that's when I start being violent, and now, I usually stay away from any situations that may get me riled up and cause me to do stupid irreversible things.

I'd been to so many schools way back when and got bullied for the most random things. It was also unfortunate that one of the guys who I thought was a really cool guy hung around with those losers. He and I recently reconnected over a year ago as he was visiting for a convention that just happened to be nearby where I live and we got to catch up and talk. He was genuinely sorry for the way he and his friends were back then. He even said he liked me as a person even in school. This just goes to show that even our old schoolyard bullies are people too, and that they can actually grow up. I applaud you Riyadh for showing your subscribers that schoolyard bullies can grow out of their childish ways and be nice people as adults.

Its hard enough to be different in any way in school and get picked on. I'm a woman and I was 5'8" when I was 14 years old. My parents were both very, very tall. I still get discriminated against, made fun of, or excluded from things because of my height to this day in 2018. It's very, very painful! I'm a regular, normal woman. I do the same things that others do. I just happen to be taller than some. But people won't let it go, so it is pain that never stops. I'm 66 years old and I still get hurt by others. People are mean. Really mean. If that describes you, stop doing it. It has more negative impact than you think.
