@guitarman03652 жыл бұрын
because for some of us who never hear it when we finally do it actually feels like a trick or manipulation tactic. It literally goes against the reality you have lived. it's a short circuit in the brain feeling. That's why aggression or mistrust is easy to show. I am the same way. When you go your whole life never getting validated on anything in like decades, and one person says something im like what the fuck to you want from me, what are you selling here. lmao i got to try and not do that but the thought goes through my head. Because i think well either you are fucked up to be so different than literally everyone else i have ever run past. OR You are trying to warm me up for something and there is a catch coming. Or lastly it's not actually toward the person themselves but a quick outburst of why did my life have to grow up in a situation so different to what i am experiencing right this moment, i feel cheated and thanks for reminding me of that douche lol. A few reasons why a negative reaction spring up over a compliment. Likewise the opposite is true and we call that being spoiled or entitled. Some people that all they ever experience is constant validation or special treatment or whatever just for existing and that becomes their reality and their expectations. When they cross people that don't fit that mold they become angry because how dare this person say no to me everyone else jumps at my feet. Think of it that way. There is too much validation and attention which makes people spoiled then there is not enough attention which makes people feel worthless and like they are being used for something when it does happen because you think why is it happening right now but never before. Most people lie somewhere in the middle of not being treated special all the time but still experience goodness towards them enough to feel like it is meant towards them.

Why do you feel bad? I would react that way. I feel bad for the lady who didn't accept being called "beautiful." It's safe to assume she isn't used to receiving kindness in such a genuine way; very likely she's been hurt by others to a point where she either doesn't think she's deserving of it or assume she's being tricked again or both. Unfortunately, a lot of people come from similar backgrounds. Despite that, it's always worth the effort to believe beauty in others even if they don't accept it in the moment. We don't know how her story ends, but we can believe she'll carry those words throughout her life, "I think you're beautiful." And the truth is, she's right.

Beauty is a bit like schrodinger's cat, you can't know wether or not it's true or not but it doesn't matter. You must assume both options are correct. And that's the truth, things are simultaneously beautiful and not beautiful, because beauty isn't an real tangible thing you can assume whichever option you like most and it will be as good as the truth. The truth in schrodinger's cat doesn't exist, both options are equally true. Beauty is the same. Wether or not it's real does not matter, because both realities are true

Even as she threatens the photographer, you can see her face lacks true aggression/there's just that look in her eyes that shows a suppression of longing/positive emotion (which everyone before her expresses easily). "Clearly you're being goofy" to me is her way of expressing disbelief that this was a genuine compliment. In my opinion, this is someone who has likely never been genuinely called "beautiful" before, and if she has it's usually been from people who have just wanted one thing out of her. Even at the very end of the exchange you can see her kind of linger for more reinforcement that, no, this isn't a joke.

@@IntrepidDreamer Bruh, you have been consistently dismissing other people within the comment section saying they understand her/ why she reacted so strongly. I don't think that's healthy either. Resorting to anger is a defensive mechanism, usually to cover up pain, and some people have experienced abuse more than others. Is abuse normal, acceptable, or healthy? No. How do you cope with years of trauma? You build walls so people can't hurt you. At least, it seems to be what she did and this situation was a trigger for her. Notice the "You done? You're just being goofy.." statements. Reminds me of the years I was bullied. It took years of active effort to heal from that trauma. For some people, it can take a lifetime to recover. Everyones talking bout the girl at 1:40 -ish but is no one gonna talk about the asian girl at 2:05? That one hit me a lot harder than the girl before. I dont even know how to explain it, but seeing her begin to smile and seemingly looking away and remembering something, then that smile disappearing hit hard dude

This video is so sweet. But it's sad to see how many people didn't react or got mad, it's like they've been through a lot, and felt like the compliments weren't genuine, or thought the cameraman was making fun of them.

This made me sad… people really need to be nicer to each other, like this woman. My 13 yr old tells everyone they’re pretty, or that they’re beautiful. It never fails to make them smile, she understands the power of words and how to use them properly. We all need to be more like that.

as a portrait artist, there is a point you come to when you realise that genuinely, truly, everyone is fuckin beautiful. everyone. literally everyone. it’s crazy, but i’ve only just started seeing the beauty in people, and i’ve only just noticed how people bring themselves down, becayse they think their nose is too straight or they have too many chins or not enough hair or not enough lips. it makes me sad. because i genuinely, truly, find everyone beautiful. no matter what, there is always something i can pick out, a feature on somebody’s face and point it out and say that they are beautiful. it drives me mad that i’ve only just realised this.

I think being able to see the beauty in everyone is an artist/creative person trait and DEFINITELY someone I'd want to hire as a photographer/portraitist. As you could see by Kronos's reply- some people just are incapable. Thank you for seeing the beauty in all of us.

@sacredgeometry4196 Жыл бұрын
umm not humanity, sick social media addicted humans that warped their own minds and subjugated themselves to the unrealistic standards of social media and destroyed their ability to have self confidence.. its self afflicted subconscious abuse.. theirs a solution for those who rely on willpower to overcome obstacles we all have to face but theirs no solution for those that rely on other humans to save them.. social media addicts rely on other humans to tell them what to think, what to wear, whats cool, who to be in love with, whats a good career etc etc thats why they are called "influencers" any human that seeks to be influenced by a stranger who dedicates all of their time to "influencing you" is someone in serious need of therapy.. normal brains are influenced by people that usually dont try hard to influence them, its like how eminem said he had no clue he influenced millions, well maybe because eminem isnt a vulture of human souls like some of these demons are.. why would you wake up and make your life about whatever some random person tells you your life should be about? your only going to fail because they will change their standards depending on whatever is trendy and u will struggle keeping up in real time.. its a sick mentality to have.. people need to get off social media and start being assertive in forcing their will on themselves to acheive their true dreams in the core of their heart to finally reach peace and happiness.. that cannot happen until these people get off social media and get more involved with an actual mirror

1:44 hurts me so much Some people are so insecure that it turns into anger and rage People who have been told so many times that they’re ugly will start to believe it wether they like it or not And that’s why she was acting like that I have a friend like that And what people like her need are just someone to help them everyday If they want time alone Give it to them They might say “I don’t need your sympathy” or “don’t pity me” Because the people that were nice like that in their life’s we’re probably just saying that because they felt bad But at some point they will come around and understand that you are being genuine And that you are not there to hurt them

It's genuinely wholesome seeing them smile, but the look we can see in some of their eyes and their responses make me a little sad also. Half of them, more or less, couldn't believe you actually thought they are beautiful. Many times is our perception of ourselves that makes us think we're not beautiful, but many times is also the fact that we're not treated like that, we're treated like we're ugly. I loved this video, I think it makes us want to make others feel beautiful too, cuz there's beauty in all of us
