Professors deserve a little fun from student mishaps. I worked as a sign twirler and wore a wasp mascot for the shop. One day I didn't have time to change before a special lecture for Physics 3. I knew EXACTLY what the professor was going to say before I got there but I did not expect him to POINT AND LAUGH while declaring "Someone has been a busy bee"

Lmfao. This is so funny to me as someone obsessed with writing. Sounds straight out of a book. Reminds me of an email I detailed to my teacher about my chronic illnesses. Included the line, “I just took my medicine and am trying to ignore the feeling of an ice cold fire stabbing me from the inside like a thousand frozen glass shards.”

I was out of work for a month after getting surgery done on my leg, emailed receipt and doctor's note to my supervisor and HR. Come half a year later for annual review some jackass of a supervisor was giving me grief demanding why I wasn't working in that month telling me I'll be given disciplinary action next time... like, wtf was the point of my email?

Encountering this while stuck at home with walking pneumonia feels like perfect timing. I feel lucky that while delirious on cough medicine I just started telling my friends I love my dog and showing them pictures because if I wrote something like this and my boss or any of my teachers read it out loud I would quit/drop out on the SPOT. (Wonderful writing though, true poetry)

I remember being so dilerious at one point while being sick, i had written down what i wanted to say to work so i could communicate clearly and not get side tracked on a drunken unfiltered sick rampage.... this did not work. as someone who doesnt really get sick, i find that when i do get sick its probably some form of Mega virus that has had the bad luck of trying to fight my immune system which im pretty sure would look at the beach defenses from WW2 and point and laugh. Early Covid made me tired and sleepy for 3 or 4 days. meanwhile it knocked my wife out flat for 2 weeks. so as i am calling work i read my note which reads fine for 2 lines and then breaks off in a tangent about how there are no homes in home depot despite the name so where the dang homes at mmmm??? where are you hiding them are they around back?!
