This is what’s wrong with the medical community in India, instead of teach and share knowledge, the professors and SR just want to show they’re at a higher power. I had a very good Neuro resident in my hospital, Dr Induja, shoutout to her, she’s the real mvp, always on point and went above and beyond to explain even the simplest of things. She’s the reason that I wanna do neuro in the future.

Bloody hell! They don't even teach a bit of neurology these days in ug level... All they teach in medicine is GI, CVS and respiratory medicine.. That's it.. Btw this case is probably DSPN ( due to DM) ! But if an intern knows everything, why would she even call the consultant? 😂😂
@vikaschaudhari80337 ай бұрын
That's true....how would an intern know all this....even JR 1 also struggles in beginning days...when consultant ask these types of questions

I remember the days when I used to work in ER and had to call the consultants at midnight 😂that’s even a greater fear. With God’s grace I could clear the NEET PG and now working as an academic JR.

This is why many postgraduates were discontinued and this should be changed to reduce suicides in medical field due to stress and anxiety

Learning should never end, even for the health professionals no matter how senior they are. Only then will our future generations will have a much better healthcare. Be open to learning new methodologies to heal and diagnose.

The bond between senior and junior should be very good so that junior dr. Can ask or clear their doubts not like as junior has to think for 10 mins before asking senior

The indian culture of teaching medicine Sad if it doesn't change. They say that we thaught like that so as we teaching like this It is way better if they teach us not just only criticize every time

The amount of stress the interns and Pgs must go through is huge.. Because Senior doctors expects more from us which in long run make us a better clinician which indeed help the patient in the end. But what I feel is there should be a balance between the both

She said "good morning ma'am" And the brain doc: yes. Why so arrogance?! Are they so busy that they don't have time to wish people back?! Just a 'good morning' or just 'morning'! She may be a good 'brain' doctor but she's a bad person with bad attitude.

The neurologist in this video did not do bad job, asking the questions in the right directions. Spoon feeding does not work. Not only India but it is common US as well. Ivy league schools are worse in this regard. There are plenty of stories of drop outs from Residency and Fellowships.

Is it this tough always? I guess self-image on one hand, needing to handle the situation for the patient on the other, needing to handle someone who appears to be judgemental. More of a practice for stress handling than only diagnosis, I guess
