I do not want to come off as an EA fanboy, but you cannot hate the business model if it works. They have done it since game 1 and it will not stop now. The Sims franchise is profitable due to this very reason. There is no reason that shows things were ‘cut’. I’ll ignore Cats & Dogs and My First Pet stuff as I agree, but everyone agrees with that. A DLC for a DLC. However, there are such things as limitations in the engine. Why pools, toddlers, and terrain were not in the game. When you make a game, or even code, you will understand why things take time. It is not simple and the smallest mistake can break the entire game. Pools, toddlers, terrain, basements were all free, and none were ever planned to be DLC exclusive. They released alongside DLC, yes.
