This is still my most favourite Sims game. You can drive around, you can get new vehicles, there are actual objectives you have to take care of instead of just playing life (and even then this is completely optional, you can just play life, too) You can move in with another family and burn everything down, then move away. One time I rebuilt the ENTIRE TOWN. I made Mama's house into a research lab with nuclear waste and meat eating plants. You can actually play coop if you have a second memory card and a save file on it. I used to take my Memory Card to a friend just so our Sims could hang out. The possibilities are on such a big spectrum, it's insane. This felt more next-gen than Sims 2 did at the time to me and I'd take it over Sims 4 any day.

@@vir3098 Sims Medieval is like this. You get the option of playing without objectives if you complete enough of them, but you could always go back to playing the objectives if you got bored. Only downside is that Sim Medieval is a bitch to mod.

Actually the organization of the game nowadays is better. Since 2001 there was a LOT of Sims games released & were sold for $60 each one of them. For example, if u wanted a pet, u needed it to buy "the Sims pets". I still remember the price for each one of them because i had 3 & i wanted all of them but obviously I wasn't rich. In conclusion, the organization of the game NOW, IS SO MUCH BETTER. They just need to finally hear Simmers & add these details to the game & it will be perfect.

I loved this game growing up, it was one of those games that I played non stop and then just totally forgot about. As soon as I saw Kevin playing it I jumped straight on to eBay to buy my own copy, waited for it to arrive, only for it to be a faulty disc! Also the most meta and self-aware Sims game. Like, the villain knows about the green diamond and that everyone is being controlled. Like that shit was actually a plot point. I was super impressed.

I remember being really young and playing this on my older brother's game. There was one time where he let me play it without him. I remember turning the game, getting on the main menu, and having no idea what anything said. I was still too young to read and he was not helping me at all. I had no idea what I was doing so I clicked on new game thinking I was starting the game and I erased all his progress. He had almost maxed out all skills and gotten far into the careers. He was so pissed lol

TS Busting Out was the game that got me into the franchise. I remember watching a friend playing it at his home, at that time I didn't even know The Sims existed, never heard of it. After literally a minute of watching him play I fell in love with the game, I borrowed it and have been a Simsnut since then. To this day I still don't know why I got so dragged in by TS series. This video brings up some good memories, thanks mate. Damn, that was 15 years ago...
