As much as I like street fighter I really feel like the phenomenon of sequel fatigue is starting to kick in. If anything I feel that the best solution would be to put the franchise on hiatus or release a new/different fighting game with a new cast of characters similar to what they did with sf3 to keep from things becoming stale and repetitive.

Street Fighter right now isn't suffering from that. In fact, the new direction SF6 is heading has actually renewed interest since the upcoming game is going for an actual Street Fighting vibe.
