To prevent the anti air guns (and enemy jets spawning), simply look behind you while flying away. Make sure you don’t crash into a hill though, lol.

If GTA V had a mission (storyline or strangers and freaks) that involves Michael, Franklin or Trevor infiltrating fort zancudo while disguised as a soldier or military officer, the one that you are playing as(depending on who among Michael, Trevor and Franklin is involved in the mission) will probably get a military outfit unlocked and can enter fort zancudo freely without earning a wanted level the one or ones, (depending if it involves one or two of the protagonists) who is/are not involved will not have a military outfit in his closet and will still earn a wanted level for trespassing

You DO KNOW that this is what the F-16 was originally supposed to look like. It was meant to have twin cantered tails like the F-18. But to save weight and cost, which was the General Dynamics mantra for the F-16 in it's conception, they opted for a single upright verticle stabiliser (tail). You can avoid the rockets by flying really low, the system won't detect you on low ground because it doen't sees it as 'airspace'. Also you should be able to get away before the tanks are there.

It’s been made impossible. Even if you take out the tank, take no damage starting it up, and take off near no one , you automatically get hit if you leave the ground at all inside the air force base. You can fly to the hanger and the plane will work, but will stall exactly before it gets inside the hanger. Great update.

Omar Peoples I was just trying tonight and yes, it’s impossible. I tried everything (cheats, different approaches, trying to steal different location jets) and none of it worked. The tanks are op and there are almost constantly 2-5 of them out at once spamming you. The rare chance I did actually get into one and attempted to fly away (as low to the ground as possible) I didn’t even get beyond the perimeter fences before I took multiple SAM missiles and was destroyed

You can still get one its just really hard. I get them all the time in online. All I do is take the ramp drive to the jet. Go as fast as I can to the jet before the tank comes then kill the soilders around it and then dodge the missiles. Its actually pretty easy

If you are crafty enough you can also sky dive in, and wait until the last second right before you hit the ground to pull your parachute. It takes a little bit of practice because you can't enter the Fort's airspace in a plane, but you can cover enough ground in the air skydiving if you have enough altitude. The alarms don't activate until your chute opens so if you're a boss you can open it right before you go into that open hanger, and land on top of the planes cockpit.

The hardest past is that after you take off a SAM missile will be fired at you without the jet making the locked on alarm sound. While the missile doesn't destroy the jet instantly, it does cause engine failure that after a while it will stop completely before you may get to a hanger to save it. Still managed to get it with Michael and Franklin though. Trevor's next.

Cheats that you need to steal the jet: Invincibility - You'll be invincible from any incoming damage Explosive rounds - This is to defend yourself from enemy tanks Fast run - You have to be really quick in this situation Max health and armour - This is to repair your jet in an instance if it's damaged

For those get (BOOM) before you actual escape. Stick to the ground with max speed as you can, and only take off when on the base edge. Then now depends on your skills to dodge missiles.

What I find annoying is that the base gives you a warning to divert your course and then starts firing missiles at you right after they finish! So what do you want to do? Bit more explaining to those you don't under stand the simplified version. Putting up the landing gear using the left stick will increase your maximum airspeed, maintain direction longer, and makes the nose fall down less.

To avoid missiles, try to taxi for as long as you reach almost end of the base (won't shoot missiles when you're still on ground), then quickly go up to pass the fence and come back down for a few seconds and you'll get rid of missiles

I managed to steal the one in the hangar, by stealing the jet from the airport, flying in to the base, crash landing gently against the hangar, running like mad towards the plane, then take off before the tanks get there. Unfortunately, after I made a clean escape, I started experimenting. Don't hit triangle

Somebody else said this but if you save the game at key points then the military is slow to respond. Save again when you have the jet and load to it to reset the damage. It works for the 2019 version just did it

actually I always up flying into an anteena scafolding alongside the motorways when I start try to shoot cars. Actually capturing a jet was a pain. It sucks trying to steal a jet, but the best way I've found, is to try and scout the sky for the jet already flying, as well as the chopper, to prevent being shot down. Then destroy all but two of the jets on the ground (always have a backup), and destroy all of the tanks (if any).

I'm on next gen (xbox one) and I was about to give up after my 20th try. Then I figured out that you have to look behind you when you take off by holding the right joystick. I don't know why this works but they won't shoot you down.

There is a loophole which get's rid of the wanted level anywhere on map, BUT you can't save the jet/cargo plane at the end of it which is rather annoying.

Easier way,, do the cleetus elk hinting mission as soon as the mission starts steal his dune buggy drive to the base and steal it with no resistance then fly it to mackensie airfeild and save it in your hangar ,

Just before I tell you how to steal the jet/titan, I have to tell you to make sure the path is clear when taking off, so no AI spawns. It's especially important when in the titan since they can you shoot you in the cockpit. Here's how you steal a jet: • Make sure there's no personnel around when getting in. • When you are going to take off instantly look behind you, as a jet spawns behind you if you don't do it as early as possible. • Fly far away from the fort. And the jet/titan should be yours, unless you can't do it early on in the game or something.

How to Steal a Army Jet Without Getting Wanted Easy: Go to Cletus 2nd Mission. Fair Game. After Cletus Leaves. Get in a Car and Drive to Fort Zancudo and Steal a Jet.
