If you had to choose between hiking the profile trail or the Daniel Boone Scout trail, which one would you pick?

The profile trail is prettier, but Daniel Boone is less aggressive. A DB detour to the Cragway trail will give you views making it worthwhile.

Would you recommend this trail to a moderately experienced hiker?

If you are ready to take it up a notch, this is the trail to do it. Ropes and ladders add some interest and some points are a bit technical. But if you have some experience and are prepared for the distance and elevation gain, this one is do-able. Good luck!

Nice videos. I know you have to have shoes with great traction. What do y'all both wear? I'm looking for something for myself and my girlfriend.

As you can imagine, I’ve gone through my share of hiking boots. Traction is indeed very important. I have finally found a pair of boots I can honestly recommend: Merrell Moab. I wear the waterproof mid top for those aggressive treks and have found the boot to be comfortable, durable, and grippy. Now I’m recommending that it be Cris’ next boot. I hope that helps.
