I was back in the cab with my father looking at this, rest his soul. He drove like you, easy on the truck he lived for it, and loved truck driving. He started in the 60s and passed in 91. He had an old S2 kenworth with a 903, I started choking up at the sound of the jake. Thanks buddy, for the memory.

Only those that understand whats going on get this mans driving.... He drives with such care and non use of force in his driving habits.... This truck will last a million miles under his great care and skill.... He never "slams" this truck but rather gently goes through the gears and lets the engine work its way without force or coercion.....

I drive like this. Wish my 379 was still road worthy. The last driver beat the ever loving crap out of that poor truck. She still runs and drives, but the frame is pooched. Edit: But she’s got a super 10, not a 13.

Beautiful execution of hiw to. You are a true professional. I started driving truck in 1979. Drove trucks with Detroit's and 2 sticks, and Cummins with 2 sticks , also 10 speeds and 13 speeds. Each truck has its own personality. Once you develop a relationship with that truck there is nothing like it. It becomes your best friend. Just you and that truck going down the road. Pure Bliss.

The way you drive has an ASMR quality to it, smooth shifts, the instrument panel and that fabulous shifter. I hauled a little steel for about three years on a short job and I appreciate the way you handle that machine, tons of skill and respect and it sounds like she's paying it back best she can, which is pretty darn nice. I drove for 35 years in northern ca, Pete’s, KW’s, International’s, Mack’s, whatever the company bought, Georgia Pacific for 28 years, Louisiana Pacific for 7. I learned on a Brownie, speed shifting using the Jake brake. When I retired from 35 years with the Teamsters, I was driving a Mack with an automatic transmission. It was like driving a 500 hp pickup truck with a 45’ trailer behind it. Trucks changed over those years.

Wow...what a great sound!😃 I come from Germany, American trucks rarely drive here. I saw one of them, a Peterbilt, on the German Autobahn... I gave a thumbs up and made a hand signal to honk! Had he really honked! ...and then really accelerated...😳 I thought my heart would stop. Wow, it was going fast, definitely more than 70 miles per hour. Here you can only go 50 miles per hour. Well, this is Europe... I just like American trucks because they're just different... I like rustic. Even my off-road vehicle is rustic, I hate frills with a full computer in the car. This is not my world. Greetings from Germany, have a good time and have a wonderful time and a safe trip with Peterbilt :). Greetings from TOM

I’ve owned a 97 Ford F-250 7.3 psd, 5speed, short box, 411rear for 24 years ..Basically stock , 4” down pipe , mild hyper tech tuner, Banks cold air intake.. which made the turbo really whistle and sing .. One day I was pulling my boat somewhere, from Colorado Springs out to lake of the Ozarks or something, anyway suddenly it hit me … I haven’t even thought about turning on the stereo.. in fact I could not remember the last time I listened to the stereo in that truck.. Didn’t take long to figure out why !?! I sub consciously became hypnotized by the sound of that 7.3 and the whine of the turbo pipe.. I don’t drive her much anymore but I do think about the sound when I do .. That Pete is one smooth operator .. driven with style .. I hope you’re getting paid very well my friend.. demand it!! You deserve it.. say no to automatic , say oh hell no to electric !! Always ride the defense and take care boys !!

I love a cat growl. I would also add to the list the Mack E9 Super Dog engine! I have a b model cat in my Pete and love it. My W9 has 7's on it with a 12.7 detroit running a borg 171702 and a full tilt manifold. It peaks around 50 psi on a full pull

I'm just catching up to your videos. dude, besides my dad, brother and myself you are the best driver out there. I see all the confidence in you. Well, to be honest I was an okay driver but I wasn't 100% confident like my dad and brother are and y'all three drive alike. No GPS and just know where you're going lol. My dad died about 13 years ago and I swear, I was watching Thelma and Louise and my damn dad shows up in that movie! He was exactly like the tanker driver. I'm shocked I got an ajucation. Anyway, back to the point. I'm listening to this video with 5.1, 7.1 and headphones. If i lay on my couch and shut my eyes I fall asleep it's like I'm back in a truck again. Oh, I'm disabled/retired now. Anyway, keep up the good work and maybe someday get you one of them drones to scan areas and they make some cool photos. Some dude named High Strung does those types of photos and they are cool. But hey, stay safe out there and Thank You fort all your hard work.

God’s country I should have been a truck driver the roaring of the engine and the turbo singing is music to my ears just mesmerizing…. When I was young I was the one that would drive the big trucks (huge double buckets) electrical shop everyone else was scared to drive. So i was 17 & drivin these beasts. I also hauled a trailer with a regular cab white from stroudsburg PA to the dump in Scranton That was before you gad to get an official CDL it was a blast up and over the mountains. Great job
