In my personal opinion with the size of the body of water & the pure weight behind it, it's only going to take 1 weak point in that levy bank and it will give way & the river will demolish the rest & rapidly. I'm extremely interested on how civil engineer's seem to think it's going to stand up especially on bitumen & concrete. The water will go straight underneath the bank on top of concrete or bitumen as the sand/clay has nothing to bond to.

These banks are ok, so long as they’re wide and heavy

They're around 3-4m wide, up to 6m wide in some places. It's all a bit of a waiting game, they're saying this is the best option given the time constraints, however have left alot of properties on the wrong side of the levee. Time will tell 🤞🤞

Hi Sweet Pea's - Jamieson Drive is dry, just a bit of water of the road on the northern highway. Bowen St is where the Emergency Levee has been installed, running from Packenham, Up Bowen St then turning out onto Goulburn Rd. Hope that helps for the time being 👍

@@7six3 omg thank you so much I lived in those houses for up to 4 years lived echuca My 1st marriage was married to Tim Lawrence a taxi driver up there that has now moved to gimpie with his 2 Nd wife The unit in Bowen Street was where my 3 kids n I lived after having no choice but to move out of 46 jamieson drive a house that may late father put finance into A month after moving in my hubby then announced it was over I was shattered completely shocked Iv since re married now 15 yes both of us I'll Is premier street effected as my daughter n 2 boys live in unit there she has evacuated to her nan's wich lives in Castlemaine I wish I could pay you for Ur info , it means the absolute world to me to know these answer ty so very very much Please travel carefully n slowly x sp
